The PLAN has been studying the US navy for years, however copying does not produce the same results and the PLAN has a long way to go before it can match the US navy
If China really wants to compete with the US, it's going to need more than 6 aircraft carrier battle groups compared to US's 11. And with the air force, the US does lead in terms of drones, strategic bombers and their stealth jets, the F-35, with loads of variants being successful in the UK, like the Lightning and F-35b. China's J-20 stealth jets have faced complications and delays. And even if China does increase it's naval assets, the US is also upgrading at the same time with it's new Columbia class nuclear submarines, which is their largest one yet. So, my point is China is always going to be several stages behind the US in terms of air and naval superiority

US N-subs use the most sophisticated nuclear reactors. The newest Virginia class SSNs for instance have reactors that use bomb-grade uranium (U-235 enriched to over 90 %). They are designed to operate for 33 years without refuelling

USA is a Rank 1 blue water navy due to it's ability to sustain an long term presence in any part of the world and fight in multiple theatres of conflict at the same time.

China, UK and France are Rank 2 blue Water Navy due to their ability to sustain a presence in international waters albeit for a limited time, compared to USA these navies have fewer warships, overseas bases, and limited logistics support thus can only sustain 1 overseas theatre of conflict at a time compared to US's ability to sustain multiple

India and Russia are a Rank 3 blue water navy due to their ability to sustain a presence in international waters albeit for very limited time frame and in a limited area like the Indian Ocean in India's case.
These navies have 1-2 overseas naval bases and logistics support bases at best and although they can start an overseas theatre of conflict they will struggle to sustain it

This is good .. for indian opponents .. Carriers are useless in a real war as they will be targetted first and sank within hours of peer warfare. Unlike US navy carriers that are focuson on deep ocean maneuvers , these carriers are too short ranged and their air wing too small to sustain high optempo air ops.

maybe india should invest in more submarines than useless carriers

China does not have any overseas bases to support their carriers - at least not yet

Maybe you should mind your own business.

Okay will pass this great message to China

Pakistan will be great beneficiary of this decision , as they will get new large target to sink with ease.. too bad for india because they can have better return of investment by adding more subs against pak navy. alas the existing indian subs are too old and easily detected by PAK highly trained sub hunters.
