India's Space Success 'LIMITED' but offers lessons: Chinese Media

True. India was able to send a probe to Mars as it relie on NASA stations. I'm not trying to downgrade Indian space achievements but without NASA assistance, India would not be able to be the first country to send the probe to Mars on its first attempt. So Indians here need to give some credit to NASA.

U do understand while we took help of NASA relaying stations that MARS probe propulsion system and its algorithm was entirely Indian to begin with. They reached MARS with Indian tech with assistance of NASA.
And Chinese can also take help of EU and US ground stations for civilian missions.

They haven't been able to send space probes with much success is because you need very powerful antennas to beam the signals to your probe spread across different continents. Most countries think if they lease a space to china they might just occupy it.
Not entirely true.

"Currently, the Chang'e-2 is the smallest man-made asteroid in the solar system. It has completed over 200 million kilometers flight and will continue to fly, returning somewhere closer to the earth around 2029," he said.

What are the mission objectives of Change'e-2 ? What does the word mean ?

Main objective was to map the luna surface in preparation for chang'e 3 landing. It produced the best map of the luna surface at the time. It then moved to earth-sun L2 to test deep space tracking and control.

Asteroid flyby wasn't part of the original mission, but since the probe has enough fuel might as well do it

I would like to correct you , the map is still the best currently. Funny, how our Indian bhais never wondered why China needed to test deep space tracking and control, and they can just suddenly zoom to Mars.

already posted in Chinese space thread, bit late to the party my friend
a party is a party my friend, fun has just started here. big brother already supa powa rockets fail, no way... come on aall chini posters, Its a big conspiracy by Indian media this satellite actually went to space but Indian medai reported its failure, bad bad media

The country which can not put a single satellite correctly in orbit is saying to a country who has precisely put 104 satellites in orbit that their success is limited. This is second failure in last few months and so called heavy lift operational rocket made by Russian scientis . On other hand, Indian first launch concluded in copybook manner with revolutionary electrical propulsion satellite put exactly in highly precise orbit. I know that same rant of superiority of Chinese space technology shall still continue because the success of Chinese space technology lies in bragging and boasting on PDF and not by its space achievements. India has a guts to live telicast lher first launch of heavy lift rocket. Chinese failures are getting known to the world when US say that Chinese satellite has failed. Actually this mission is a complete failure with 3rd stage malfunctions but it is pronounced very lightly that it did not achieve correct orbit.

China medias should be careful of india's reports, the word 'limited' is not inaccurate,it should use a word 'great'.
Its indeed a great and amazing achievement if china can do this in the 1990s

What did China do in 1990? Isn"t it a shame that inspire of so called capability since 1990, its rockets fails and fall down like anything and they are not declared failure until America declares the reality.

Last time I checked China still has higher success rate for orbital launches compared to India.

The announcement for the 3rd stage failure was given by state media before NORAD/USSTRATCOM released any orbital parameters. Also all launches from Hainan are broadcasted live.

Lastly, gslv Mk3 is a medium launcher not a heavy launcher despite having the mass of the latter, maybe India should work on solving piss poor mass to payload ratio

Long march has a long failure history. China must be teaching in CPC reeducation camp that Chinese has a great success in space. Great failure history of chinese space agency ranges from moon to mars and space station. Few months back , their so called great communication satellite fell down but chines poster on PDF celebrated for 2 days for their great success until Americans came out with the news of its failure.

GSLV is just an evolving rocket which is all set to strike 6.5 ton payload in just 3years from now.
