NOOR-2 is Iran's second military satellite that was launched successfully to Leo orbit at 500 km..
NOOR-2 was launched by QASED SLV from undisclosed location in the Iranian desert. QASED is a three-stage satellite carrier .

Iran now has two operating military satellites NOOR-1 and NOOR -2 in space.
NOOR-1 was launched less than two years ago..

So there are people who still believe that IRIAF should not be given under IRGC command or at least merged with IRGC Aerospace force, the same IRGC that can launch ICBMs from TEL disguised as SLVs is being doubted by these madmen.

Qased is too weak to put any meaningful satellite in to space and your comment about giving air force to IRGC is imply nonsense .
IRGC even cant build a small and basic engine like Jahesh-700 or Owj , they even cant build an engine like Tolooe-4

the build missile engines , the difference is missile engine only need to burn several minute , jet engines thousands of hours

by the way space agency don't make the slv , if they fail go ask that person not space agency

Qased is capable enough of hitting a target 4500-5000 km away if a re-entry vehicle is to be deployed on it. That is what it intends to do. That's the work of IRGC. What has IRIAF achieved in the meantime? I am tired of shahi loyalists.

decide , its an SLV or MRBM then we discuss if its good or bad

well they managed to built a jet engine , IRGC yet to do that while its budget is several time more
by the way if you were watching IRIB news right now you would have understood that the engine for the first stage of Qased SLV was built by Defense Ministry not IRGC and as the first stage is still powered by a liquid fuel engine well its not an ideal MRBM

I was wondering , if they reduced the size of first stage and then added to the second stage of SLV didn't they could put some heavier satellite into the orbit ? let say for example reduce 20% of the first stage height and add that to the second stage .

Noor 2 is likely a 6u cubesat, so it likely weighs no more than 8 KG. Just for reference, in 2008, the space agency placed the Omid satellite into orbit, which weighed 27 KG.

This is a morale boost, nothing more. The space agency can easily place these tiny satellites into orbit. Actually the last launch they tried to place 3 of these types of satellites into orbit at once

The space agency was gutted by Rohani but regardless, the second to last Simorgh launch, only the last stage failed, whereas on prior launches, the previous stages had failed, so they have made progress and are at the final stretch. Also the satellite they attempted to place into orbit, the Zafar-1, weighed 100+ KG.

They have mentioned that Noor-2 is more advanced...so I will wait to see what are the more advanced features...photos if published will be a good indication...also do not forget this was placed at higher orbit of 500+ km..

They should just bring back Safir SLV which can launch 50 kg into orbit. I doubt Qased can even launch 20kg into orbit.

More info about the NOOR-2 and Qased SLV ...all composite body provided the weight reduction to reach the 500km orbit...
