khail007,

It could have happened---if this board would have taken charge and presented its analysis and presented it on the TV media.

The problem over here is---that paks are over awed by what their air force says---it becomes GOD's Word---. Paks are over awed by what their abbaji nana ji dada ji's uncle ji's have said---it comes next to GOD's word.

When you live in this kind of society when just the word of dada ji is right just for the sake of it---that society has problem---the children have a problem in understand concepts that are foreign to them---they have been told not to believe in them because it is a part of western or israeli conspiracy---.

Next thing---if any item is brought up here that goes against the belief that has been imbeded in these young and grown kidsright from childhood---it is like hitting a brick wall.

Then it is the machismo of the pakistani men---'if you fought with us we will let you know the difference---( the difference between arabs and pakistanis )---saday naal jung kar kay waykho---.

Well---the U S military did---they took out OBL---then the salala check post skirmish happened---over 2 1/2 hours.

Pakistanis love to live in lies deceit and deception---. If the out going base commander in karachi and his chief security officer would have been hanged for treason against the state---you would have seen he difference---.

There are no consequences at all.

Hi, I want to reiterate Mr. MK's key points. I remember when my brother was visiting Islamabad a few years back. He mentioned to a PA Officer that the US probably had stealth drones buzzing over key sensitive sights in Pakistan. The officer laughed and said "we are a nuclear power, and our defense is impregnable". Well then the OBL raid happened, and it showed the incompetence of the PAF.

Moreover, the Salaha check point skirmish was over 2 hours long and no air cover was called or even notified. This again shows the lack of integration between the PA and PAF. Back in the 70s, the USAF had 24/7 coverage of all their units, and their ground units could call in airstrikes at any time.

Also remember the PA is the same army that called the BBC the Bharti Broadcasting Service and claimed they were wining the 71 war, until the day the had to surrrender East Pakistan. Mr. MK has a very valid point, the word of the Pakistani Armed Forces is not challenged and take as law.

Moreover, any other civilized nation would have court martialed the Karachi and Kamra base commanders for negligence and all of the other officers in charge.

The PAF needs to wake up...

So production in Kamra hasn't stalled. But what is being produced and how much is being produced is still unknown.

Does the news article it say when the photo was taken? The press is very good at re-cycling old photos or attaching photo of events that are remote to the article.

Nobody can say with certainty whether that was incompetence/lack of technology or a joint operation where PAF/PA purposefully allowed the Americans to stage a drama so that Obama would be re-elected. Obama eventually got re-elected.

Miss your meds?

@ANG
I find your post very interesting. But may I point out that it is off-topic. I would like to point out the after-math of Salala incident in order to guess the decision-making process. But that would further drive the thread off topic. Could you please copy your post to an appropriate thread please so we may continue an interesting topic? Thanks.
