Pakistan conducts succesful test-fire of Hatf-VIII Ra'ad ALCM

i don't understand why Indians are congratulating pakistanis!!!!!!!!! (not only in this thread but many other such threads):girl_wacko:
The test is good for pakistan but do remember it will be used against India....so why??????????????????
I can understand some good social, economical, educational, healthcare but congratulating for successful weapon testing that will be used against us!!! high level of nincompoopnes....:hitwall:

no offence to pakistanis:tup:
Don't worry we will not use this against India unless you do misadventure.
These things are for peaceful purpose and to force both nation as
India, Pakistan Bhaie Bhaie:D

The Ra’ad Missile, with a range of over 350 KM, enables Pakistan to achieve strategic standoff capability on land and at Sea.

The above mentioned capability speaks volumes for this achievement, meaning PAF and PN no longer need to rely on the likes of Exocet or Harpoon sea skimming missiles, the Ra'ad has a much greater stand off capability.

A major additional feature of today’s test was the effective employment of the National Command Authority’s fully automated Strategic Command and Control Support System (SCCSS). It has enabled robust Command and Control capability of all strategic assets with round the clock situational awareness in a digitized network centric environment to decision makers at National Command Centre (NCC). The system has the added capability of real time remote monitoring of missile flight path.

Members, kindly comment on this part too...

Pakistan successfully test-fires Hatf-VIII cruise missile | The Nation

Pakistan, today conducted a successful Flight Test of the indigenously developed Air Launched Cruise Missile, Hatf-VIII (Ra’ad). The Ra’ad Missile, with a range of over 350 KM, enables Pakistan to achieve strategic standoff capability on land and at Sea. ‘Cruise Technology’ is extremely complex and has been developed by only a few countries in the world. The state of the art Ra’ad Cruise Missile with Stealth Capabilities is a Low Altitude, Terrain Hugging Missile with high maneuverability, and can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads with pin point accuracy. The successful launch has been commended by the President, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee who have congratulated the scientists and engineers on their outstanding achievement.

The prior 2008 tests below:

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan successfully tested a nuclear-capable, air-launched cruise missile with a range of 350 km on Thursday.

The Hatf-VIII Ra'ad missile had been developed exclusively for launch from aircraft.

The indigenously developed missile also had special stealth capabilities and could deliver all types of warheads with great accuracy.

President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Makhdoom Yousuf Raza Gilani have congratulated the team of scientist on successful test.

Alhamdolillah great news
Hope that such defence development projects will ensure national defence , ensure sufficient deterrence to keep nations away from war and most importantly byproduct technologies acquired/ developed through these projects be used in civil sectors as well.

ISLAMABAD: For the second time in a week, Pakistan today successfully test fired another nuclear- capable Hatf-VIII cruise missile with a range of more than 350 km, the latest in a series of tests of missiles that can hit targets within India.

The military described the flight test of the air-launched Hatf-VIII or Ra'ad cruise missile as successful.

"The Ra'ad missile, with a range of over 350 km, enables Pakistan to achieve strategic standoff capability on land and at sea," a military statement said.

The Ra'ad missile has stealth capabilities and is a "low-altitude, terrain hugging missile with high manoeuvrability".

The test comes just days after Pakistan test fired its quick reaction tactical nuclear-capable Hatf-IX missile with a range of 60 km on May 29. The Hatf-IX is virtually a battlefield missile designed to hit massed armour.

The Ra'ad can deliver "nuclear and conventional warheads with pinpoint accuracy", the statement said.

The military said today's launch had also tested a new automated command and control system.

"A major additional feature of today's test was the effective employment of the National Command Authority's fully automated Strategic Command and Control Support System," the statement said.

This system has "enabled robust command and control capability of all strategic assets with round the clock situational awareness in a digitized network-centric environment to decision makers at the National Command Centre".
The system has the "added capability of real time remote monitoring of missile flight path", the statement added.

The military contended that the cruise technology used in the Hatf-VIII is "extremely complex and has been developed by only a few countries".

The launch was commended by the President, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, who congratulated scientists and engineers on their achievement.

The Hatf-VIII was the fourth missile tested by Pakistan since last month.

On April 25, Pakistan tested an improved version of the nuclear-capable Hatf-IV intermediate range ballistic missile with the range of 1,000 km.

The launch came just six days after India tested the Agni-V missile with a range of 5,000 km.

On May 10, Pakistan conducted a test of the nuclear- capable Hatf-III ballistic missile with a range of 290 km.

The launch was conducted at the conclusion of the annual field training exercise of the Army Strategic Force Command.

Great Job done by Pakistan again but which Fighter Plane was used for testing RAAD MISSILE ?
Looks like it must be JF-17 this time cuz we already tested Mirages for this purpose........:smokin:

If the missile can't be detected by any Radar or equipment then howcome there is a system to monitor its flight in realtime or maybe its just the path and not the missile itself???.....anybody can discuss it technically???.........:what:
