I want to break MQM strong hold in Sindh (Karachi and Hyderabad). LesBela population is mainly Sindhi and Balochi. MQM will have no choice but to compromise with Sindhi & Balochi.
In my plan there will be "NO SINDH". Pakistan will be divided into 16-17 Provinces or "Super districts". Each district is responsible for it's own budget, economy. this will be one way to cut the corruption.

I believe Urdu speaking population will exceed the Sindhi and Balochi population combined. MQM will be in power.

BTW, why so anti-MQM?

My 3 Favorite political leaders are, Musharraf, Imran Khan and Mustafa Kamal. I am not Anti MQM, I am anti-Altaf. MQM will never become a main stream political party untill it's drop Altaf Hussian and change it's name from MQM to ____ which can united people from all race, color and religion.

Pakistan must overhauling political system, remove the corruption politicians, corrupt politician should be banned for life. Pakistan needs to have four main party system.

1) United National People's Party (Merger of PPP and MQM) [No Ghaadri and anyone from Bhuto family, no Altaf Hussian)

2)- National Workers Party/ Pakistan Socialist Democratic Party [Merge with Green Party, Awami Tehreek, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehrik, Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and other leaders working together]

3) Awami Muslim League Pakistan or Awami National Party (remove Pukhtoon nationalist -- New Map of NWFP ) (Under new leadership)
[MQM-H, PML-N (without nawaz) and PML-Q]

4)- Islamic democratic party (Merging Islamic Parties)

According to some news papers the corum was not complete and only one fourth of the total members were present to discuss this important package.

Autonomy, forces withdrawal, Mush trial, general amnesty demanded

ISLAMABAD – Majority of Baloch leaders rejected Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package on Monday during a debate in joint sitting of Parliament and demanded provincial autonomy, immediate exit of forces from the province and trial of former president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf.

Taking part in the debate, Senator Shahid Hussain Bugti said that in 2006, then President Musharraf launched an operation against Baloch people and fake cases were registered against them. He said Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani should direct the authorities concerned to release within 15 days all those Baloch people who are arrested or jailed in fake cases. Such a decision can improve the condition, he added.
Shahid also demanded of the government to take action for the recovery of thousands of missing persons of Balochistan who were picked up during Musharraf regime. He asked the government to initiate a case before the court in the light of the FIR registered against the murder of Nawab Muhammad Akbar Bugti to bring the real culprits to justice instead of setting up of a fact-finding commission. He urged the Prime Minister to hold voting in National Assembly for the trial of Musharraf.
He said the cases registered against Baloch politicians should be withdrawn immediately, as no discrimination can be made between the nature of heinous and petty crimes under the prevailing circumstances. He was of the view that Concurrent List should be abolished and all resources should be diverted to the provinces with full authority except four important departments that would lead to a strong Pakistan.
“We reject the offer of 5,000 jobs and demand of the government to give us our right which the Constitution grants us. Balochs want their right, not compensation. Give us financial autonomy,” Senator Bugti demanded.
He termed FC as a root cause for poor law and order situation in Sui and Dera Bugti districts and emphasised to stop construction of cantonments in different areas of Balochistan permanently.

When are these Paindoos going to understand how to fix these problems?

Pakistan should split 4 into 15-17 smaller provinces or super districts.
Sindh - 3
Baluchistan - 5
NWFP-4
Punjab- 4

FC given control of Kohlu cantonment

QUETTA: The interior ministry has issued an order handing over the Kohlu military cantonment in Balochistan to the Frontier Corps.

Official sources said on Tuesday night that the decision to give control of the newly established cantonment to the FC had been taken under the Aghaz-i-Huqooq-i-Balochistan package announced in a joint session of two houses of parliament last month.

It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has also announced that no new cantonment will be set up in Balochistan.

Former president Pervez Musharraf had started work on three new military cantonments, in Sui, Kohlu and Gwadar.

All nationalist parties in the province have opposed the setting up of new cantonments in Balochistan and demanded that work on setting up the cantonments in the province be stopped.

The Balochistan assembly had adopted a resolution demanding that the plan to set up new cantonments should be scrapped. But the previous government refused to accept the demand.

Chief Minister Nawab Raisani and his coalition partners have also called for abandoning the plan.

After holding meetings with leaders of the provincial government, the president and the prime minister had announced that no new military cantonment would be set up in the province and the new cantonments would be handed over to the FC after withdrawal of army personnel.

List of 992 missing people issued

QUETTA: The Balochistan home department has issued a list of 992 people of the province who have been ‘missing’ for several years.

The department released to the media on Tuesday the names and other details of the missing people received from different quarters.

It announced in a statement that if relatives of the missing people wanted to provide any information they should contact officials concerned of the department so that the government could take steps for their early release.

According to sources, recovery of missing people in the province has begun after the announcement of the Balochistan Package.

About 25 people, including political activists, have returned home over the past week since a statement by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

However, Baloch nationalist parties are not satisfied with the process and are calling for an immediate release of all missing political workers.

They allege that despite the prime minister’s announcement, ‘kidnapping-like arrests’ of political activists continue in different areas of the province.

The list is not complete but one can follow what the two gentleman are trying to say.

It appears that they were having a very frank exchange, amongst themselves and with guests and callers from Baluchistan, in the aftermath of the murder of Rasool Bux Mengal. I think they voiced the suggestion that if the ISI was behind this they would not be leaving a calling card suggesting 'Pakistan Zibdabad, BLA murdabad' on the body.

The callers were quite respectful overall, pointing out essentially that Baluchistan needed to see tangible improvements in governance, economy etc.

There are efforts afoot to address two of the main issues - provincial autonomy and greater allocation of revenue from the Federation to the Provinces.

The NFC award appears the closer of the two objectives at this point. The issue of provincial autonomy has general consensus as well, but is reportedly held up by the PML-N's objections to the name change of the NWFP, and perhaps the return of of presidential powers to the parliament.

I agree with provincial autonomy and also with the idea of funds allocation but i don't agree with many demands of teh so called Baloch leaders.

First of all cantts are the reaponsibility of the Defence forces and if a cantt is required then it should be provided.

Also, GoP need to discuss these issues with the members of the Balochistan assembly and MNAs from Balochistan instead of giving importance to people who don't have representation in the either assembly.

There should be a limit on to what agovt. can agree to. PM Gillani is doing the right thing be extending the package but discussions should be held with the representatives.

What about the armed militias of sardars?

What about public works in Gawader and rest of Balochistan??

Gawader is not Balochistan, as it was bought by federal government from Oman and should have kept it as federal area.

Gawader was never Balochistan in history

Studying a little history before putting your words/opinion into writing wont hurt.

...The region remained on the sidelines of history for a millennium, until the Arab-Muslim army of Muhammad bin Qasim captured the town of Gwadar in 711 CE and over the intervening (and nearly equivalent) amount of time the area was contested by various powers, including the Mughals (from the east) and the Safavids (from the west). The Portuguese captured, sacked and burnt Gwadar in 1581,[6] and this was then followed by almost two centuries of local rule by the various Balochi tribes. The city was visited by Ottoman Admiral Sidi Ali Reis in 1550s and mentioned in his book Mirat ul Memalik (The Mirror of Countries), 1557 CE [7]. According to Sidi Ali Reis, the inhabitants of Gwadar were Baloch and their chief was Malik Jelaleddin, son of Malik Dinar. In 1783, the Khan of Kalat granted suzerainty over Gwadar to Taimur Sultan, the defeated ruler of Muscat.[8] When the sultan subsequently retook Muscat, he was to continue his rule in Gwadar by appointing a wali (or "governor"). This wali was then ordered to subjugate the nearby coastal town of Chah Bahar (in modern-day Iran). The Gwadari fort was built during Omani rule, whilst telegraph lines were later extended into the town courtesy of the British.

Until 1958 Gwadar was part of Oman but was transferred to Pakistan on 8 September 1958. The Gwadar enclave sold to Pakistan (effective 8 December 1958). It was integrated within the Balochistan (Pakistan) on 1 July 1977 and became a full sub-division of the Gwadar District. The money for the purchase was generated by way of taxation and donations. It was then made part of the Balochistan province.
