The thinking in the establishment can be seen from the idioicies expressed by the faujeet consultant here.
With so much access to information, even this faujeet cannot comprehend that why and how PTI is popular without establishment support.
In the mind of the faujeet, it is IK and IK only who has misled the nation and once he is eliminated the bulk of the population can be converted into faujeets again.
The faujeeti establishment can again re-claim their support in their fake fight with the two criminal families. The faujeeti establishment will present itself as the only alternative again.
IK will be killed and all will be well again !

As these Faujeets lost their war on social media, so they have decided to pick every Pakistani having social media account and doesn't have unconditional one way love for them. They are acting like women on PMS.

Thing is they wont get votes eliminating him, probably the opposite happens. The main reason would be they will do everything and anything to avoid being prosecuted for all the corruption they have done.

It's still the mentality of the 80's. Akhbar ka editor pakar lo, akhbar band kar do, TV band kar do. No one even watches TV anymore. And by arresting the social media lead of PTI won't mean that social media will stop talking against the govt or estab. It isn't a central entity. In bewakoofon ka khayal hai Azhar Mashwani har roz subah uth kar order deta hai to make XYZ viral.
These guys seriously need to hire a professional in SM, not some Maj in ISPR.

When the people running the establishment are FA matric pass, including DG-ISI, what do you expect? They are not the brightest people in the room. Their mentality for the last forty years has been to smash components with a hammer and all else will be fine.
Tell me, do you think a matric pass DG-ISI can compare to foreign intel agencies headed by people with PhD's from the best universities? Can you imagine the intellectual disparity between the two?
We were fooled into thinking that Pakistan's intel agency is an all-powerful force to be reckoned with. That the only reason failures or lapses in security were happening was because it was outnumbered. That was just all propaganda to cover their incompetence!
As for the army, they can do anything but win wars. Look at all the land lost in Kashmir, Siachen, East Pakistan. All happened during military rule. How many thousands dead from WoT? How much economic damage? What did the establishment get out of a decade of this except permanent shame & damage? Ask yourself this, would any foreigner in their right mind invest in Pakistan?
When they can't be trusted to win wars or even secure the border after building a huge fence, how can they be entrusted with a country? No thanks soldier, time for them to hit the barracks!
