True. Taiwan will never be able to stop China from invade Taiwan. Taiwan can only plan to make it very costly. China would lose if it have to kill more than 10 people if it invade Taiwan. Their best result would be peaceful unification. But this can only happen when China is more developed and maybe even more democratic.

I hope you both never go to war, and resolve your issues peacefully as you are one nation with two different political systems, why both countries try to work out issues like one country two or more systems, at least it will make you one country again and also very powerful in world.

There won't be any war unless Taiwain declare independence from China. Today Taiwan still regard herself as Chinese but governed by the old republic that once ruled all of China. It is unlikely that there will be a declaration for indepedence since it did not happened when the Green camp (the pro-independence party) was in power.

Many people ask the same question, why Apache? First of all, Apache is used as a disruption weapon rather than an general attack weapon in a defence way of using it, trchnically you use it to do hit and run, or an "interdiction" mission

See, Taiwan is an island, that mean there is a limited spot for one army to land and unload its troop and tank, in military term, you don't want to make static defence head on if your enemy is superior in strength (a la Iwo Jima) you wily pull back a bit and allow some space and wait for a bottle neck that would eventually happen ( a lot of troop, a lot of supply and with little beachhead? You do the maths) then you will strike as there are the point where your enemy have no where to run

What the apache used for or intend to use for is provide a strike package to HVT and then dissolve back into their base before enemy air support show up. This kind of hit and run require a very clever system with a heavy punch and you can get in and out in a jiffy, apache seems like an excellent choice

Actually with the U.S. most Chinese bases will be destroyed. Never seen footage of Apaches taking out a proper army? Gulf War is a good example. Must be a reason why the Chinese developed their own attack helicopter if it was useless eh?

Yes, definitely. There is no doubt that 20-30 Apaches can take on Shanghai and Beijing. Those 20-30 Apaches are going to slaughter 250 J-10s; 100 Su-30 MKK/MK2; the S-300PMU2 and HQ systems; 200+ J-11s, J-15, AWACS and everything else they come across, such as PLAN. Yup. No doubt about that.

HQ-9B is superior to Patriot PAC3 in performance. Taiwan's air defense lags behind China's air defense. Not to mention J-20 gets IOC in 2017.

With the US? Taiwan is what we are talking about here. Give it two days, the entire Taiwan will be burning and the Americans will still be deliberating whether to help.

Also i would like to see how America can destroy China's bases given its various army groups and thousands of bases.

And Gulf war? That's 20 years ago, living in the past still.
