Mosaic and Stabilization software:

Unfortunately, Mini UAV aerial surveillance video footage is subject to many distortions due to vibrations, sudden impacts from air currents and fast movement of the vehicle making it harder or sometimes impossible for users to have an understanding of their environment.

Mosaic and Stabilization software has been developed in order to increase the imaging quality of mini unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) video footage. In Mosaic Mode, every incoming image is matched with previous one and its position with respect to a reference point is calculated.

Later on new image is positioned into a larger mosaic image. By using this method consecutive images are added in order to create a larger view of the area. User is able to use this image in order to scan a region or determine its viewing location with respect to other objects.

Hibrid Mode enables stabilization of the video footage without cropping displayed images. Even if incoming images have severe vibrations, a full image without dark background is displayed to user. This prevents user being distracted because of cropped images.

one 0r two of these smart wasps shot down by PKK last year.....They declared this as they shot down Herons...

İ think these mini UAV make some noise and when it fly at low altitude it could be spoted and then seen especially in deserted land by people...so in that case it could be shot down by light weapons

PKK shots him dawn and Turkish Army knows ,there is somewhere PKK´s and the UAV has done his job. A Live is SAVED !

^If they were spotted, we'd flatten the area by artillery and they wouldn't live to brag about shooting down a "heron"

Anyway, we all know tactical and mini UAVs can be detected from ground but having these small systems help the army a lot. It gives smaller units the ability to launch their own surveillance in their area which is priceless in itself.

Turkey plans to design R-UAV for ships

Undersecretary of Defence Industries (SSM-Savunma Sanayi Müstearl) will soon announced a project for 24 R-UAV's which will be used by Turkish Navy. The project is expected to go to tender in the coming months with the possibility to above-water exploration rotary wing aircraft to be taken.

The design and manufacted will be local industry according to SSM. TAI , Baykar - Kale Group and Vestel interest with the project. After the contract, the winner in the preliminary design of the project is expected to be flown in a year. R-UAV planned to have MTOW 2 tons.

Preparatory work ongoing project is interested by Turkish Coast Guard. The R-UAV's will be depoyed in ships and ground and will have endurance longer than navy version. Turkish Coast Guards plans to take 12 R-UAV's.
