Twin nuke missile test today

india has trouble with Privthi and they are talking about Agni-6 and Agni-7, hypersonic vehicles and ballistic missile defense shield.

^so you're back from your break.

I agree with you, damn those pesky Indians

Good point, but they'll fire it anyway during war. In peace time, they'd need to test technical and tactical parameters. Missiles being tested in a 'real time situation' means that a tactical scenario would be painted based on which the missiles would be deployed, armed and launched under the supervision of the Army's Strategic Forces Command.

Cheers!

2011 -- kya baat, kya baat, kya baat, kya baat .................. Dam!! Good yr for drdo

I'm sorry to be the one to tell this! :(

they should test two more tommorow this is a users trail wtf happend ...

These liquid fueled missiles are unreliable, got to replace them ASAP.

who is responcible for this ? missile maker or scientist

Useless DRDO... Bunch of job insecured people.:hitwall::hitwall:

Sheesh relax guys. Shyte happens. This is exactly why tests are conducted from time to time, to make sure than everythings working, and if its not then they fix the problem.

Time is money not for us. Hope not be in war time.

JUST CHILLLLL YAAR " Dont hate just appreciate"

Bets of luck for next time

it was aborted because of some glitch which could make the missile to fall in bay of bengal. The problem is not with the missiles I believe it's with their maintenance, paan thook ka missile udayenge to glitch to ayega hi na.

alasore (Orissa): A twin user trial of India's nuclear-capable Prithvi-II missile by the Army was deferred on Wednesday due to a technical problem at the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur near here.

"The test was postponed due to a technical snag," ITR director S P Dash said, adding that the date for future trial would be decided after correcting the problem.

The ITR director's statement came in the midst of media reports that two missiles had failed to take off during the twin trial. "I don't know on what basis they have concluded that the trial had failed," Dash said.

Defence officials and scientists associated with the trial were tight-lipped on what exactly led to the postponement of the test.

Two indigenously developed surface-to surface missiles were planned to be fired from a mobile launcher in salvo mode from the launch complex-3 of ITR as part of user trial by the Army, Defence sources said.

The missiles were randomly chosen from the stock of the armed forces and the entire launch activities were to be carried out by the Strategic Force Command (SFC) and monitored by the scientists of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) as part of training exercise, they added.

Prithvi, the first missile developed under India’s prestigious Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP), has the capability to carry 500 kg of warheads.

It has a length of 9 meters with one metre diameter and thrusted by liquid propulsion twine engine, uses advanced inertial guidance system with manoeuvring trajectory and reach the targets with few meter accuracy.

The last trial of Prithvi-2 was successfully carried out with very high accuracy of better than 10 meters from the same base in September, 2011.

yes this is the initial reporting in the media house. later on in the official press conference sfc and drdo people said that there was some glitch in the apparatus of the testing range that lead to the failure of link between one of the missile, means may be the communication link between the missile and command got damaged and thus the launch signal was not taken up by the missile.

thus it can be said that missile failed to take off. because the command didnt reached up to it and it is right to say that missile didnt failed because the test to check its validity didnt took place beause of testing range apparatus failure.

i think similar thing happened a year or so before too.
