Females = 586,469,174

m/f ratio = 623,724,248/586,469,174 = 1.063

China stands at 1.2 to 1.3 and Pakistan ~1.09

If India had a one-child policy, the situation in India would be far worse than China...there wouldn't ANY BABY GIRLS born in India.

There is equal probability that a child born naturally could be a boy or a girl.....therefore skewed sex ratio can only be explained by female infanticide........

Firstly, The above stat. shows that, at birth, the male to female ratio is more for China than India.....which means, the Chinese determine the sex of the fetus and kill it(abortion) if it is a female even before it is born....

Secondly, the male to female ratio, under 15 is also more in case of China than India......which means, killing baby girls(female infanticide) is more rampant in China.......

As a father of two beautiful daughters and a son this badly affected me and my wife, it's very sad that this is condoned in society.

I hope this is given a big run on Indian news etc and the people of India put their foot down and say enough is enough, I don't say this with hate in my heart, I am just reeling from reading and hearing about this.

My wife and I cried watching this, it just shocked us to the core, I don't think the majority of Indians actually care or are shocked, I know watching the show a lot of the audience were crying and genuinely disgusted and shocked, but not sure about the politicians, police and the rest of Indian society.

Since you have two 'too beautiful daughters', a 'beautiful wife'(must be) and a 'very happy family'(seems)......you should NOT come to any Asian countries......as we have clearly shown(with enough proof-read the whole thread) that no Asian country fares better than the other regarding this issue........

14. Indian laws to protect women are widely ignored. The government has tried monetary rewards to keep baby girls and supported microfinance for women. NGO programs, smaller condoms, and other projects have had limited success.
