World's Advanced Ever F-16IN offer to IAF

I agree. The reason pakistan opted for the F-16s was one we have limited budget and second the infrastructure to support the F-16s is already in place.
For India its better to go for either the russian or EF. F-16s have seen its glory days and is on the verge of ending life span. India will have to develop a new infrastructure to handle the new inducted jets and i dont see any point in going for something that has a life span ending coming up very soon.

Its more than that. THe MRCA that India inducts now will have to last ATLEAST 30 years. Only when it becomes the MiG 21 equivalent of that time, will it be retired. Now if India feels the need to test a nuke in the next 30 years, the planes will be grounded. Not grounded as in grounded as the planes will be built in India itself, including spares, but the radars like AESA etc which would not be made in India.

That depends upon what kind of relations india has with the west in paticular the US. You see even when in 1998 india tested its nukes, apart of disapproval and shock from the world nothing more was done until pakistan followed the lead and all hell break loose. Anyhow one must not forget the geostrategic and political importance of india w.r.t to the US. US has made a significant change in its policy and was on the verge to sign the nuclear deal with a country which isnt the member of any of the treaties yet US changed all laws to get along with. So to say that india tests nukes and will face sactions, i think that depends but for now the idea to too far fletched.

India was ALSO sanctioned if you'v forgotten. But US wasnt willing to show us a nuclear reactor 10 years back, heck even regular computer chips could not be imported, and now they are offering everything. Who knows 30 years from now, India and US could be sworn enemies.

With all respect, none of you three countries have ever made a stealth plane before. Not even high tech Europe has, the maker of the Gripen, Eurofighter and Rafale. Try making an aircraft that is as high tech as theirs first before claiming you can make stealth aircraft, and stealth fighters at that.

I'll believe it when I see it. LCA, a non-stealth, non-descript fighter, where is it?

And don't tell me an aircraft that is built with brute force, like the 30 MKI or the J-11B are as good as the European aircraft. As least European aircraft have been tested in wartime and their engineers work from integrated experience. Their avionics and components would be specifically geared to their requirements. The Russian AVEN thrust-director engines for example have MTBO of as low as 100 hours for example.

And frankly, given the Chinese record of propaganda, I would take their claims with a dose of salt either. Recently they rigged Cessna-type planes to fire rockets and called them UAVs.

There won't be another stealth fighter ready for induction until 2020 at the earliest.

Seems to me this new F-16N is quite sexy indeed.

SO F16N will be Sexy Enough when it comes into IAF the Old MIG 21 is also sexy Enough same time operated by the same opponenents and Indian Piolts Says that they are not ready to Fly These "Coffins" as this is was also mentiond in you first post that word was also described by the Chairman of the Lookheed Martin Group ... and if F16N is going to be locally Assembled in India this will be worst then MIG 21 .. Sorry if i harts you

I dont think it was even rockets. I think they fired flares!

India got sactioned yes but only after pakistan tested the weapons and both india and pakistan got sanctioned. However 30 years is a long time for any possibility to be considered real and by that time AESA radar wouldnt be hard to find in terms of spares.

If source codes for MC's are not given, integration with the plane becomes exponentially difficult.

Drawing board of Russia, China and India is now occupied by the designs of Stealth Aircraft like PAF-FA,JXX and MCA receptively. You want to admit that F-16 is still better then this planes.

To this day, F-16 remains a very potent platform that can be compared with anything that the Russians or even the Europeans put together come up with. Avionics wise, Weapons wise, it can easily hang with and exceed most. Its a better Multi-role aircraft than most that are currently flying (including Rafale and Typhoon as both of these are just starting to integrate Air to Ground capabilities that F-16 has been operational with for the past 5 years or so). The only downside of the F-16 is that as an airframe, it may have reached the end of its life (but this end of life is still not coming around for another 25-30 years for most flying blk 50/52 and above).

Stealth aircraft being designed and eventually developed by the others does not mean that F-16 becomes irrelevant...given that US aerospace companies are always ahead of others, F-16s of the future may very well have advanced avionics and weapons to counter the threat of stealth aircraft.

At approx. $100 million a copy, EF-2K is probably the least likely contender in the Indian MRCA tender.

But wont the composition of next generation air craftt's bodies be of better synthtic materials giving them an edge in many aspects? Do enlighten me on this...

see India has a very competitive market domestically both civilian vis - vis defense the magic word here is the TENDER & whoever gets to present it to bringing it to India (here i mean those who gets to deal it from the Indian side has a commission i mean this is Rs 55,000 crore more than $14 billion we are talking about obviously the fruits of commission will be quite a treat so in short it is the middle men from both India & the U.S those are playing the advertising game & f16IN is playing the roll of the marketing add who's job is actually to get the MRCA contract for a Superior aircraft ) most probably the latest version of the F18 HORNET or of less possibility but can also be the F22 raptors

The F22 raptors are not slated for sales to anybody. Let alone a non NATO state or close ally.

Indian pilots says that they are not ready to fly, man pls provide the source for your rehotric.

These "Coffins" as this is was also mentiond in you first post that word was also described by the Chairman of the Lookheed Martin Group ... and

What makes you think that it will going to hurt me?

MIG-21 have had win us the war, by the way take a look at your own airforce then come and harp about rubbish.

Mig-21 bison in IAF has the privliged of associated itself with BVR missile as well host of all other advanced avionics as well as ECM.

Have a take look at your PAF's F-16, since decades of its induction date it hasn't find itself armed with BVR and very badly hit by the sanctions. It is now that US has supplied some improved F-16 that has got BVR.

if F16N is going to be locally Assembled in India this will be worst then MIG 21 .. Sorry if i harts you

I think you should see your eyes to the nearest Eye-specialist, there is not a single word of this type has been included in posted article about F-16N.

Each and every sentence in your post is correct, I don't have anything to feel wrong it.

Man, I never stated that F-16 is inferior then anyother plane, I just replied to one of the poster who claim that F-16 is better then any fighter being designed and right now it is on drawing board of Russia, India, China.
Right now drawing board of this countries might have been filled with stealth aircraft.
