Erdogan says Turkey troops pulled from NATO drill amid new tensions

Export that popcorn!
Sure, why not! :)

NATO is done. It's a joke. A useless ghost of its former self. Russia figures once the US is completely out of the picture, beating the newly-forming "EU Army" will be a cakewalk.

Im sure Ataturk was never mentioned,Erdogan just added his name to it since he suddenly has become a Ataturk fan.
I must say,a very good move to get support.

NATO apologises two times. One for using Atatürk's photo as an enemy commander, and one for using Erdogan's name as an enemy character.

Seems like these two incidents didn't happen in same time, but two different days.

Oh, really? And you're "sure" about this how, exactly?
I mean, are you saying NATO made a mistake by apologizing for two incidents instead of just one?

Turkey has a huge Geo-strategic value.

NATO will continue to beg, no doubt

Turkey has to Just import S-400 and announce her independence

What to do you expect when Erdogan slaps Europe, EU, and the entire West on a regular basis?

When an organization like OIC is so moribund, what can we expect from a grand Muslim alliance? Currently, the Muslim is divided and fighting over itself with no sign of it abating anytime soon. The Sunnis fear an Iran-led Shias and vise versa. This is a laughable idea, at best. And stop blaming the US for everything that goes wrong in ME. There is more than one chef in the kitchen.

Turkey can leave NATO if it wants. It just has to make the decision to do so. So far, it hasn't. Perhaps the benefits outweigh the cost...for the moment.

Disintegration is a strong word, more like state of flux. NATO will may be replaced with a Euro-centric defense pact sans Turkey and a greatly reduced role of the US. I support and is long-time due.

Turkey is buying Russian S-400 SAM system and wants warmer relations with Russia. At this moment, Turkey is acting more like an enemy than a friend of NATO. This is not going unnoticed.

Erdogan is keep slapping NATO countries because There isn't a day goes by where Turkish army doesn't capture NATO weapons and Drones in the hand of PKK. And This has been happening since Our so called NATO partners started to supply Sdf. And US President gave his promise that this weapons wouldn't reach to hand of PKK. Well, Personally I seen German grenades captured from PKK. There is US military drones in the hand of PKK which is captured a couple times, Sorry but Who supplied Sdf with anti tank weapons that shot Our Heli inside Turkey?

On the other hand, Rest of your comment is solid and I agree with most of it. But I really wonder Why doesn't US still didn't made any comment on Other S400 sales? Isn't KSA big U.S.ally? Not a word I could find online.

Okay not every one knows so let the idot that gave the clerk the job which he knew nothing about. Like the In case of Turkey, NATO know about Turkey buying a Russian defense system but they dont know about Atta Turk. come on man few are mistakes not all are. don't compare apple with Oranges. We all know what this all anti turk grudge is about.

Ya I agree to that point.

NATO has become a clown show under unstable/unreliable/hostile US leadership. Islamic nations need to form their own version of "NATO" like the Europeans are doing with their new "EU Army".

Do you see any conformation anywhere but Turkish news outlets,i will take my statement back if you can show me some proof of them mentioning Ataturk as enemy?

It's not really a political thing. This was a gross breach of military discipline and protocol, akin to insulting an allied officer rather than saluting him.

It was done by some individuals(,it was not NATO who named Erdogan Ataturk or Turkiye the enemy).

“The individual in question was immediately removed from the exercise by the Joint Warfare Centre and an investigation is underway. He was a civilian contractor seconded by Norway and not a NATO employee. It will be for the Norwegian authorities to decide on any disciplinary action. NATO has been in contact with the Norwegian authorities on this issue,” he added.''

The second incident, meanwhile, occurred when a Kurdish-origin Norwegian officer signed up to a social networking website within NATO, using a fake account in the name of President Erdoğan and sharing posts against the organization. The posts were revealed by Turkish military officers stationed at the NATO naval forces and he was also sacked, the report said.

NATO doesnt see my country as an enemy,it has nothing to do with NATO.
These were individual actions.
Erdogan will use this for a long time to slamm NATO,very convenient isnt it?

LOL. You're not seeing any non-Turkish sources about this because you're not looking for them.

Awaiting for you to "take back what you said"...

I sort of feel sad for the person who got fired. I mean that guy would have google for something got a image and used it. How does he know if it was the founder of turkey lol :raise: it all depends on keywords used by him.

We even had JF-17 in IAF manuals instead o tejas these things happen. shit happens.
Someone this ignorant about political world history shouldnt be working for a Military alliance in the first place.

Post 41,it has nothing to do with NATO.
You said you don't see any sources other than Turkish ones, implying you don't trust the news outlets of your own country. I posted quite many reliable sources from around the world. Will you now be a man and take back your statement like you said you would?

i will take my statement back if you can show me some proof of them mentioning Ataturk as enemy?

Do carry on. :)
