New Hybrid Missile approach warning system (MAWS).
JF-17 Block 1 and 2 only had rear facing, IR based MAWS. Block 3 has a new 360 degree MAWS system thats
IR + UV Combined, resulting in much better performance.

On block 1 and 2 there’s only two MAWS sensors at the base of the tail, facing backwards.

On block 3 we’ve seen two different mounting configurations (but the systems are the same).
On block 3B the rear MAWS are still at the bottom of the tail, but now are facing somewhat sideways and are larger, while the frontal one are located at the top of Each air intake facing sideways.
On block 3A the rear ones are at the top of the tail, one on each side, facing back. And the front ones are on the sides of the air intakes, facing sideways.

They must be experimenting with different positions and such or they’re in different positions due to other equipment present in the aircraft, but rest assured, this new system is quite an upgrade as hybrid MAWS are known to be a much better than simple IR MAWS and now it’s 360 instead of just rear facing.

Blk 3 has bigger wings and
Stronger landing gear. Many noticeable differences.

clearly visible.
If anything these two photos show they’re exactly the same. Though I do want to believe there is some difference, maybe we will notice it when it enters service and there’s more pictures, but no picture so far seems to show any noticeable differences in structure or landing gear.

Noticeable difference is the HUD and Tail for right now --
We have to wait for more info on the internal changes.

tail is the same too, apart from the new MAWS and RWR. Yes HUD is obviously new, I was talking about structural changes.

While I agree with the notion that JFT's market will hit the sky if it downed a Rafale tbh, but the reality is, Pakistan - India days of hostility are over and done with. India has China in mind and nowhere does it focus too much on Pakistan outside of propaganda. So I doubt the PAF will see the IAF head on again as it stands.
2019 was 2 years ago

again, shows they’re the same length, only missile is sticking out slightly, bottom is visible due to lower camera angle.
Now kindly point out the “obvious“ lengthened/changed/stronger landing gear to our mortal eyes as well. View attachment 773030View attachment 773031View attachment 773032View attachment 773033

MAWS.
Changes are there. Those who can spot them, know.
Infrared missile approach warning system. Earlier blks had ultraviolet MAWS at the base of rudder.

Oh, thank God, my eyes relish after the long wait for the new news and views of B3.
Finally, here is our Ace fighter to contend and confront the Indian Rafale.

Changes are pretty obvious.
Atleast 4 MAWS spotted
That is a very good number
Almost 360 coverage(6 would do that)

its US which has China in mind, India's mind is completely obsessed with Pakistan, if it was not for Pakistan India might not even be part of Quad and have tried to settle (to some extent) the land dispute with China, exactly the way they have done it in past.

I believe it is very likely that next skirmish will happen at the next election cycle.

???? "if it wasn't for Pakistan India wouldn't be a part of the QUAD?" I am very sorry but how do you guys truly think? What does Pakistan has to be with the QUAD? It's against China. Pakistan isn't an enemy of Australia or the US or the Japanese. I keep reading so many conspiracy theories that it's sad.
