Release of Taliban detainees: Pakistan took money, claims ex-Afghan spymast

That is humbug, his militia has never commited atrocities on the Pashtuns, the other members of the NA especially the Junbish commanders under Dostum who are virulently anti-Taliban massacred them in the pro-Taliban strongholds. But Dostum reversed that trend and even succumbed to Karzai's position on reintegrating Pashtuns into the mainstream. The one stance that he has is of non-integrating pro-Taliban Pashtun populace in the ANA, which will also be slowly reverted. His non-negotiable stance against the Taliban and his intelligence failures failure led him to resign, he was not removed.

If you think about countering encirclement, you greatly underestimate the ANA and the local Aghan populace and overestimate the Hekmatyars and Omar's Taliban. This will backfire against the Pakistanis like Operation Gibraltar and Hamid Gul's Jalalabad debacle.

Hogwash.

Even Newsweek ran a cover story on Northern Alliance and their not so impeccable human rights record.

As for NA - well that's the faction your country has been supporting. But I believe indias meddling will be on the wrong side of history. Your project designs there won't work. Keep trying, see how far it takes you

Karzai is in a very uncertain and precarious position it seems - especially with him biting the hands (I emphasize the plural) that fed and continue to feed him.

As for ANA yes I do underestimate them because its not an army it's a 300,000 strong militia which is often required to now disarm not just near American 2 and 3 stars but even trainers sometimes

Having been around afghan soldiers and observed them I can say that they have a ways to go. Many brave men, but also much risk for mutiny or insubordinate conduct (drug use is rampant too). Afghan economy can't even cover one quarter of their expense. But hey don't take my word for it! Find out yourself

You talked about Saleh specifically, show me any source that said about his militias committing atrocities. The ones who did, i have mentioned earlier, were the Junbish commanders under Dostum, with little/no involvement of Dostum in that. And that is nothing in comparison to what the Taliban did in Mazar-i-Sharif and elsewhere. This time it will be ISAF+Russia+Iran+India+China bringing stability and peace, which includes all Afghans, that means, Pashtuns, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Hazaras and so on. There will be no support of any armed militias like NA or whatsoever, only the ANA will be strengthened and supported.

I apologize if I may have caused any offense. The Pakistani members do the same when it comes to our politicians etc.

Your priority as Afghans is to stop raping your country and killing eachother based on which ethnic group or which warlord you support.

You're focused on some petty name calling. . .

Chuck Hagel had something to say about the trouble you stir up in Afghanistan.

I reiterate as I always do - economic investment and other assistance is absolutely fine. We are doing the same and since the fall of soviets our position was that we must bring investment and rebuild the country.

What we don't allow is covert anti-Pakistan activity. You can't do such things without us finding out. Naturally we will react and counter such aggression through all means on the table. No big deal, any country would do that.

That's alright Sabawoon, name-calling is a common phenomenon here, and no harm done :)

Just that... if we were to adopt the same path as those whom we criticize, then chances are that inadvertently we might end up on their side.

As a Pakistani... that's quite a mine you stepped on. Be grateful that he is so civilized, or it would have blown off right in your face

If we start going by what Mike Mullen has to say, and the notoriety of an event miles away from Kakul on one May midnight, then Saleh is totally justified about the statements he gives.

That looks more like a statement from Rehman Malik, who has been pratting on and on without a single shred of evidence, from Balochistan to Afghanistan.

What is asserted by you and by other Pakistanis are absolutely fabrication and there are no anti-Pakistani activities as such. Any misbegotten assertion or policy will only be counterproductive and will only result in to your disadvantage.

Do you guys even have money to pay us or anyone else in the world ?? You are yourself being run on NGOs money & aid.

Most probably since the whole Afghan govt is corrupt, somebody thought why not make money on the name of Pakistan, take out money from the aid money and say its to Pakistan for release of somebody, and the money now is in some Afghan officials pocket.

It was Afghanistan which voted against Pakistan for place in UN, its the current Chief of Afghan Armed Forces who was claiming in an interview that land till Attock river belongs to us, thus its the Afghans who have some mental problem and wanna fcuk around with Pakistan. If you guys have such views, then be prepared for retaliation from our side. Your own doing.
Afghanistan claim on Pakistani land upto attock is genuine and has historical, linguistic, religous, cultural and racial reasons for it. It makes more sense than Pakistan's claim on kashmir just on religous basis. You and me can refuse to accept their claim but it shouldnt be the criterea to prove our loyalty to pakistan and punjabis.. Patriotism is a natural sentiment and loyalty is part of pashtun nature but you dont have to be more loyal than king himself. You want integrity of pakistan, its perfectly understandable, but leave these matters to punjabis. They would make it sure that pashtuns are always divided and quarrelling with each other.
I respect patriotism of every pakistani pashtun as long as he is not involved in messing up with Afghanistan and their people. Even islam doesnt allow us to do so.

^^ And you know that all the FCuking Kidnappers , Killers and trouble makers are also from Mansehra ? Yes From Mansehra Muhajir Camp of those **** AGhwanies ..

You are spitting on your own face. Like i said leave this Afghan bashing to other pakistanis, you dont become a patriot by calling names to Afghans. If you dont care about being pashtun than atleast respect them as muslims.
We pashtuns are always enemies of each other, pulling down each other legs , ghair are laughing at us.

Evidence as far as I know was handed over and received by your PM at Sharm el Sheikh

Whether you change course or not is yet to be seen. But there will always be those who suffer for any anti-Pakistan activity.

Your defence attaché in Kabul learned that.

The hard way, regrettably

He is what I am. A Pashtun by ethnicity and Pakistani by identity. Only you would bring up the ethnic card

Monkey-like behaviour

Monkey D Luffy,

These guys who portray themselves to be more loyal than the king himself are playing the game themselves. As long as Panjabis are made to feel insecure they can reap the benifit. It is all a drama, it is best to neutralize them.
