TTP releases statement positioning itself as an Afghan nationalist organisation aimed at dismantling Pakistan

They have made it easier now! After the deportation of the illegal Afgans and dismantling their slums, the COIN ops need to be taken deep into Afganistan via drone based 24/7 surveillance and targeted attacks. Message should be clear: side with anti-Pak terror elements, and you're dead.....

Cuz optics is very important too. Last year PAF dropped bombs in Afghanistan and it was international news and didn’t even kill the intended targets.
But since then covert kill teams have killed dozens of terrorists and many high ranking commanders and it goes almost completely unnoticed with no backlash against Pakistan.
Optics matter a lot.
Personally, I am not in favour of PAF regularly striking targets in Afghanistan. That should be only when extremely needed. The go to should be covert kill teams and proxies. It makes more logical sense and prevents the chances of it spiralling into a full scale war between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Pakistan simply cannot afford hurting its image and optics even more especially after all the political mess it’s just been through.
We all want terrorists dead but we don’t want PR disasters

Time has come to deal very firmly with Afghanistan. TTP, Afghan Taliban, Afghan commie or an Afghan liberal. At the end of the day, all Afghans are very clear on their goals with regards to Pakistan. Pakistan is not clear on Afghanistan.
I am pretty sure the Pak Deep State has always been! Hence, they had been wanting the Afgans to be under a friendly Super Power! After the expulsion of the USSR and the USA, the Chinese are slowly taking over via "economy"....

IMO the Taliban are a lesser devil compared to the commies (under USSR/India) or liberals (under USA/India).......

One phone call from their Zionist masters... is all it takes.

Everyone knows who is behind the TTP.

Pakistan needs to learn to grow some balls from Turkey instead of acting like a pussy

Turkiye is a NATO conquered territory, under NATO control and follows and obeys NATO dictates.

The same NATO can still bomb Pakistan at will and there is nothing Pakistan can do.

Who will bear the expenses of targeted attacks ? US or China ?

The motive behind recent AFB attack is the decision to deport Afghanis to their home.

The scary factor lies within the ease of reaching targets inside Pakistan. The AFB was being monitored, it was just a matter of time, like say the word go and assets(terrorists) will be place and will carry out the strike.

You know what this means ? That other military and non military targets have been marked and recced already. When the word comes, there they go- boom boom.

This appalling attack and many others similar to it over years have no collaborations with the Afghan refugees being deported or not . It has every thing to do with our 9/11 American war on Fata areas we jointly did. Those Pakistanis families members lost innocent loved ones and were denied justice so turned to guns. In any other civilised society those responsible authorising drone deaths be from army or civil would be facing prosecuted and jailed not in our Pakistan. We should have had a South African kind of open truth tribunal commission like they had after apartheid and state apologised faced up to its crimes.

Do you want to bend over and give your a*s to them as well?

FATA is infested with Afghans who are larping as Pakistanis and they either under duress or willinginly faciliated the death of 80k Pakistanis. Zarb e Azab was their accountability and considering how targeted that operation was, they got off lightly.

selective history doesn’t help.

Durand line is unacceptable. FATA merging into KPK and getting under Gov writ is unacceptable.
Refugee turning back is unacceptable.

Connect the dots.

Anti-Pakistan sentiment has been nurtured in districts surrounding Jalalabad for a very long time. TTP leadership is hiding out in these regions. TTP is Pakistani in name only, most of TTP's foot soldiers are Afghans that hide amongst undocumented Afghans in Pakistan and use them as cover. Sealing the border is not possible. Only option is to go after TTP on both side of the border. I would not use overt power on the Afghan side. Best approach is use another proxy force to police the neighboring Afghan districts that TTP is hiding in. IMO.

We need a proxy force with TTP and anti-Pakistan groups operating around the Durrand line as it's enemy that can also be ruthless at their level

Small scale individual pickings will never deter them, it failed when others tried it, it will fail now. You can only deter them in a way they understand, and that's by following the laws of tribal warfare instead of western warfare morality.

Only thing is there is concern for using proxies because sometimes they become hard to control, maybe SSG disguised as civillians can do it - basically just nationalist milita

We have to be pragmatic and can no longer ignore TTP safe havens in Kunar or Nuristan. If we need to put new tribal leaders in place in these area's.......then so be it.
