PAF suspends “Air Force Development Plan 2025,” says report

The report further said that due to suspension of the development plan, PAF had to close number of projects which have affected the overall up gradation in the country including air bases, jets and other facilities.

So basically this has affected the up gradation of mostly the infrastructure as there's no mention of any new acquirements being suspended due to lack of funds. The MLU of the F-16 is certainly going according to the plan.

First of all this is not an accurate report rather we can call "All war is best on deception" making an enemy fool that the country is not much of Developing in terms of military. And Our country has always in the dark ruled by military and furthermore Dont be 2 years child that the one man (zardari) can do the impossible that is hamper the military budget to complete its so called pockets !

May be the Govt do not want to waste the money on purchasing Lethal and expansive system for our Genius Air force because they are not able to protect them from TTP militants, first happens in Karachi then in Kamra both time Airforce/Navy has been failed to protect there Assets

The PAF was always raised to protect the countries skies and has always been India specific. They do not have ground capabilities that A-10's provide, neither do they have an abundance of ordinance and attack Helicopters. With such limitations, it is quite unwise to expect PAF to be the defense against guerrilla fighters such as TTP, well not even guerrilla fighters but rather suicide bombers!!

If it was just his own self, I am sure he would not have bowed down. But it was not just about Musharraf, it was about Pakistan and he made sure that the stupidity of Afghanistan caused as little damage to Pakistan as possible. Simple sanctions alone could have sent us into a civil war as the Sharif brothers had left us almost bankrupt!

It has always been a farce as far as scrutinies and checks and balances are concerned. However, you can put up your own non e-survey (actual ground work) and you will see that the people in power are mostly those whom are favored by the majority. The citizens of Pakistan were fed up with those who were in power and well, the people have the power to vote people in but then they have no way to get rid of the same people before 5 years are up. When Musharraf assumed power, the cities of the country erupted in celebrations. The mood was so festive and jubilant across the country that it is impossible to explain in words.

So basically, Musharraf only did what was the overwhelming desire of Pakistanis.

Indeed but we seem to often forget it that we - the people - have very short memories & it were we - the people - who saluted & welcomed every single Military Government back to Ayub & then it really were we - the people - who call them everything from Duffer Jurnail to Property Dealers when we realize that they're not the Knights in Shinning Armor we thought them to be & only recently have we - the people - realized that we need to get off our arses, get our sh*t together & elect the right people so that some democratic continuity actually ends up building some of our Institutions instead of this incessant, to paraphrase Kayani, game of hide-and-seek that is played between Dictatorship & Democracy in Pakistan.

Lets hope that realization continues & we - the people - don't start wishing for another Military Government when the present Government's performance is atrocious as well !

lol.. there goes JF-17 Block 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 100 wet dreams.
I knew something was weird when the Block 2 pie in the sky is over 2 years delayed now with not even a picture or a mock-up released. Now we know why. Usually PAF goes all out with the JF-17 hoopla like they did with the Block-1 before.
