Saudi to turn to India, Sri Lanka for housemaids

My Grandma bought a Kiffeyh (you know that red & white checkered cloth that you guys wear....the one that you're wearing in the avatar) for me from there ! As soon as the Qari (the guy who was teaching me & my siblings to recite the Koran) heard about it....he begged my Mom to give it to him & finally got it !

Apparently he believed that the Kiffeyh from a Saudi Mall was his ticket to heaven ! :omghaha:

This has got to be among the most pathetic things I have read and I have read a lot of Alphas posts so that's saying something.

LOL, yeah.

Yemeni cuisine/Arab cuisine also greatly influenced Israeli cuisine due to all the Yemeni Jews so you have probably also encountered it. The sweats at least and meat dishes. Maybe the soups and bread too.

Does this below ring any bells, for example?

Shakshuka recipe (shakshouka) Yemeni eggs and tomato dish - YouTube

Mmm shakshuka?

I love all kinds of food. My grandmother was Moroccan so she used to make all sorts. Always made something with Ocra.

I love pita and Za'atar.

Pathetic but True !

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why our so-called Religious Clerics are little more than Bearded Buffooooons if thats their mentality !

I also worked with a guy (internship) who believed that all Arab Lands were sacred & that if it came down to choosing between Pakistan & them - He'd choose them hands down !

LOL. Ocra is grown at my grandparents country house in Yemen. We have coffee, tea, bananas etc. Some farmers not far away are cultivating qat instead, LOL.:laughcry:

I don't know Israeli cuisine closely but I imagine that it is all very similar to Arabic cuisine and that it also has European features due to the European Jews.

Are there some REALLY traditional Jewish/Israeli dishes that are native to Israel?

So you're a Yemeni as well as a Saudi National ?

I thought dual nationalities wasn't possible in KSA ! :undecided:

Recently there was a news that SA is deporting thousands of Indian who are working in SA but do not have the required legal documents etc. I looked at that incident from SA as, “since you are not required any more, please pack your bags and leave our country”.

Illegal migrants are there in every country including the US, government authorities ignores them as those people live under insecure feeling, work more for less and abide the law. Even The Saudi authorities had assured the Indian government that they will not harass Indian workers because of their good behaviour, and no one will be penalised or sent to jail for violations of these norms if they leave country before the deadline

Within couple of months this new labor crisis has arisen in SA, I guess this time they are playing some other cards, “We won’t need you if you don’t agree to work on our terms”. We will hire from “India or SL”, so again going back to India and bring back those thousands been deported couple of months back?

Well, SA should grow some maturity and respect the expatriates because SA is one of the few countries in the world which cannot live or survive without the expatriates. Right from the house maids, to chauffeur to cook to doctors to nurses etc etc they are completely dependent on others.

It’s time that SA gives state benefits to expatriates and ensures their security is on par with its own!

No, I am not a Yemeni citizen. My mother is a Yemeni though with ties to Hijaz (her family is from there originally). Sana'a and Tarim.

Yes, dual passports are not allowed but trust me that there are some Saudis who have more than one passport anyway, LOL. Which they use when needed.
