That day isn't far off. Get ready for Hummus instead of Cholay etc etc............

OT. I'm really pissed at all this. You can't even begin to imagine how much.

Seriously though,I fear one day this might even translate to some Fundoo issuing a fatwa against Bihari or Chapli Kebabs as Unislamic and encourage everyone to only eat Shawarma as it comes from Islam.

Turk's, Malay's and Indonesians are also Muslims. Well, doesn't matter anyways to continue this discussion any further.

For once even if i agree that they feel that way its because of their religious affinity that they do what you pointed out were extremes and frankly they don't take place in most of this country and i mean outside of Lahore for me Pakistan does not end with Lahore.

This survey depends a lot on who the the people were in the research base. If you ask about those who have been only to Saudi Arabia and never been to the West, they are obviously bound to say Saudi Arabia is the best. It provided better living standard than Pakistan.Think about this, so many Pakistanis live and work there in Medical, Infrastructure, Security and Oil industry. Then there are those not so fortunate Pakistanis who work as maid, drivers, cook etc.

My parents have been to Saudi Arabia for Haj and Umra. They like it there, but they still prefer Pakistan over Saudi Arabia any day.

So, if My family and my extended family had been part of this survey, they would have probably voted 20-30% favorable vote for Saudi Arabia, at max.

Everyone knows how Pakistanis are treated like shyt there. Why would you want to take shyt at your conscience and dignity just because you are being paid well? The problem is the confused mentality of us Pakistanis.

I am proud to say, as i was born in Pakistan (My parents were also born in Pakistan) and my grand parents migrated from India, i am Pakistani first and foremost. I am glad my parents never brought this bs up that i have some lineage to Saudi Arabia or not. I am just Pakistani. Pakistan is my mother land. I follow Islam. That is the end of it. I don''t have space in my life for a third BS Arab argument.

My father's first job ever was working for the Kuwait Oil company as an Engineer. He was paid well, 1% tax rate, life was good. Kuwait that is. He left the job for a less one in Pakistan and since then has never thought about moving anywhere else. Many of his friends who stayed in the region rose to become executives, directors and managers in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar etc. Those living in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah ) would keep their family in Pakistan, like their wife, daughters and sons because they thought Pakistan is more liberal and free country than Saudi Arabia. I was like, how screwed up the life there would have been that they considered Pakistan 'liberal' and 'free'

This is my view of course.

Sorry but one thing is sure here, common man on Pakistani streets is more knowledgeable than both of you at least, as he knows what exactly he asked about i.e., Its the country Saudi Arab and not Arabs in general:coffee:

Sir - Your views revolve around your families view - Pakistani are on top who see Iran as favorable and on other hand they have favorable views about Sadaam as well LOL - So, it's not just about that people are working there and earning good money compared to Pakistan. Pakistani also have favorable views about Bangladesh (despite they hate us) and a mango Pakistani don't have favorable views about west - so it's not about living standards as well. In short Pakistan is complicated society who have favorable views about anything being Islamic other than Pakistan. :coffee:

Figures. The "Sher" and your title bar tells the whole story. What else is new with LeJ? Heard Ganja recently had a get together with them and JuD, any new funds from "Saudi Arab" got deposited into your account? Just saying.......

lol, look at these arab worshippers. No wonder that nation is so messed up. Let's see, 95% view the desert barbarians favourably. How many view the indus river valley civilization in a positive manner (you know, one of the oldest urban civilization). Or can any one of my fellow people name one great empire or king who came before muhammad bin qasim? I for one am proud and happy of the achivements of my ancestors who developed one of the oldest urban civilization on earth. Unlike pdf pakistanis, the common pakistani doesn't even know what the indus river valley civilization is. I used to love arabs too until I found out what snakes they were.

Correct but its not Algebra altogether; Pakistanis are unique nation in there self. If they stop thinking like that than instantly their will be at least 4 independent countries the other day.

What was he asked?..and What are we talking about?

And by your claim if the common man is that smart, we should be a prosperous country with excellent leadership(because the common man knows all) and Excellent workforce(because the common man knows all correctly) and excellent systems(because the common man knows all) with zero Terrorism(because the common man knows all) and religious tolerance(because the common man knows all) and 98% education(because the common man knows all).
It from these common men that people that blow up bombs in the country and enforce violent laws also arise.. I suppose they are very knowledgeable about everything as well.

And it is a portion of this exact phenomenon, is what me and Hyperion are discussing.
Not the fact that Saudi Arabia is essentially a nice place to live if you are personally able to blend into the lifestyle.

Hello and thanks for your concerned reply.

I wrote what i heard. I have never been to Saudia Arabia so i have no right to enforce my opinion in this regard. But then that is the exact reason why i quoted some references from my life of my family and friends who have lived most of their life in Saudi Arabia. From what i hear, i would not want to live there. Simple.

Again, this is my view.

Pakistanis are Pakistanis first and foremost. Pakistan is our homeland. We need to take care of it. I don't give a rat's arse about any other nation.

Sir - It was same common man who supported the creation of this country in the name of religion. Perhaps we should revisit their historical decisions as well. :pop:

There is no rationality in love, this should answer those unhappy with the survey results...

After having lived in Saudi Arabia, a far better life any one could ever live in Pakistan.
I would say your relatives were biased for obvious reasons, but tell us what they missed in Saudi Arabia, which they can have in Pakistan? or Iran?

Sir, it was mostly Bengali Muslims who supported the creation of this country in the name of Islam. If we lost them due to our magnificence, why not lose the charade as well? Jinnah used "Mussalman" logic with excellence, however, I don't think that present day Pakistan is what he was hoping for. My take? He would have committed suicide if he was alive to see the transformation of this beautiful country into an Arab lapdog. Pure and unadulterated fact.
