Beef Eating in Hinduism

Certainly not.

Sufi muslim card is overplayed. You cannot be an atheist and Sufi muslim.

FYI, If you regard talibaboons as terrorists, Sufis have largest number of terrorists Jihadis, both in absolute and per capita terms.

I have seen you saying this before as well, Taliban are not Sufi they are deobandi and deobandism is a branch of hanafi sunni jurisprudence they have nothing to do with sufis and their Imams hate on sufis quite often. At most you can say since both sufis and hanafis are technically Sunnis then technically there is some sort of relation. Also you mentioned sufis in chechnya before but what you left out is that despite all Muslims in Chechnya fighting against the Russians for their rights the Sufi are the ones who ultimately came to an agreement that ended the war and it is the Sufi who currently run Chechnya and it is the same Sufi of Chechnya who kill the anti-Russian Wahhabi/deobandis for fun.

Dude,

Deobandi themselves regard themselves as followers of Sufi silsilas. And there are only five school of thoughts in Sunni Islam, so certainly every Sunni, whether Sufi or Wahabbi , is going to belong to one of them. Hanafi school is dominant in Subcontinent while Hanbali is in Arabia. It is just a coincidence that Sufis in subcontinent are Hanafi like most of wahabbis are Hanbali.

What sufi orders make up deobandi

Deobandi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to Qari Muhammad Tayyib — the 8th rector or Mohtamim of the Darul Uloom Deoband who died in 1983 — "the Ulema of Deoband ... in conduct ... are Sufis, ... in Sulook they are Chisti [a sufi order] .... They are initiates of the Chistiyyah, Naqshbandiya, Qadriyah andSuhrawardiyya Sufi orders.”

Between the Barelwis and Deobandis: Their Similiarities and Differences, a Brief Introduction

Amongst the Deobandis is a fair share of what is with the Barelwis, and this is because the roots and origins of both groups are the one and the same, they are Sufi Maturidis (both also ascribe to Abu Hanifah (rahimahullaah) in fiqh).

Deobandis
- islamqa.info

Thoughts and beliefs
With regard to basic tenets of belief (‘aqeedah), they follow the madhhab of Abu Mansoor al-Maatreedi.

They follow the madhhab of Imaam Abu Haneefah with regard to fiqh and minor issues.

They follow the Sufi tareeqahs of the Naqshbandiyyah, Chishtiyyah, Qaadiriyyah and Saharwardiyyah with regard to spiritual development.

Probably these proofs are enough to convince anyone that Deobandi's are Sufi. I did not need even these because i have met a lot of them in real life and all of them claimed to be Sufi.

While these days, i may be in full troll mode on this forum; I rarely spout bullshit , even while trolling , that i can't back up with facts.

Well Mr than you don't know about Deobandis go and learn first

How can atheism be an accepted stream of Hinduism when Hinduism in itself makes the worship of the Supreme as its central focus. With respect, I believe that you aren't referring to ancient Hindu (Sanathan Dharma) philosophers but to ancient Indian philosophers. It is not the rituals which I refer to but to the sacred Hindu texts which outline the history of Hinduism and the criteria for Hindus

Dear friend, are you aware of Kapila Hrishi? Let me introduce him to you.

1. Sage Kapila is mentioned by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita:

"Of all trees I am the banyan tree, and of the sages among the demigods I am Narada. Of the Gandharvas I am Citraratha, and among perfected beings I am the sage Kapila.(10.26)?"

2. In Indian Mythology, Kapila is a major figure in the story associated with the descent of the Ganges (Goddess Ganga) river from heaven.

3. There are many temples of Kapila in India.

4. Sankhya philosophy is one of the six (original) schools of Hindu philosophy and classical Indian philosophy. Sage Kapila is traditionally credited as a founder of the Samkhya school.

5. Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda considered Kapila "the greatest psychologist of the world has ever known" and told, "there is no philosophy in the world that is not indebted to Kapila."

Now after reading above facts , hope you will agree on the fact that sage Kapila was a prominent Hindu and a leading ancient Hindu philosopher?

Now Can you believe that Kapila was an atheist and he created a school of philosophy (Sankhya) which is considered as Atheist philosophy?

Sankhya accepts the notion of higher selves or perfected beings but rejects the notion of God. Classical Samkhya argues against the existence of God on metaphysical grounds. Samkhya theorists argue that an unchanging God cannot be the source of an ever changing world and that God was only a necessary metaphysical assumption demanded by circumstances. Samkhya philosophers were against the idea of an eternal, self-caused, creator God.

If you read Sankhya, you will find that the arguments were extremely complex and extremely difficult to contradict. You may not agree with it but must be proud that such level of philosophical height was achieved in India 2500 years back. You and many of us have problem to accept atheists as Hindu in this twenty first century. But just imagine that Hindu religion was open enough to accept such idea 2500 years back. I am proud to see the openness , liberal nature and built in pluralism of original Hinduism

If Kapila like atheist was considered as a greatest philosopher in Hindu scriptures, it is evident that atheists had a respectable position in ancient Hindu society.

Hope you will appreciate the facts provided above

Be rest assured it would not hold. Sizeable portions of South and North East India do consume beef. For instance, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram would be the first to secede. Kerala too.

I would love to see such a "referendum" though, dictating people what to eat and what not to. Would be a great PR exercise for Incredible India :azn:
You will secede over beef?

Man I can go into detail but just no they are not Sufi, deobandis may have had the same roots as Barelvis in the past but after the soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the subsequent Saudi funding of their madrassas they might as well be Wahabbis. Your sources only talk about their origins or in another it says a deobandi could also be a part of a Sufi order which is the case with every sect it does not make deobandis themselves sufis.
