All new CX-1 supersonic anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM) - Chinese Answer to Brahmos

Why are you all knocking on Brahmos project? It's a missile India can use on all 3 services. From subs, surface ships, aircrafts, and land forces. And it will be used effectively in mountain warfare in the east or the western front, without a doubt.

And from this project are coming more compact or faster renditions.

Who else would've offered a project similar to India at that time? None.

Other than Brahmos there are several other projects in the works.

why is that? are they faster, more accurate?
Faster missile is hard to intercept.
But its range is limited.
The range of LRASM is over 1000km.
With stealth tech it is as hard to intercept as the hypersonic missile.
By the way,ask Russians if brahmos is the best ASCM in the world.
They would tell you the truth.

What Russian will tell? We have access to US, French, british, Japanese, Israeli techs. We know which one is the best.

Why is a smaller Brahmos M such an issue? There is also a mini-Moskit (Kh-31/AS-17) becuase the Original Moskit is so f-in large that its unsuitable for air launch from all but the largest planes (kh-41: Su-27/33 can carry 1 on centreline, versus 4 Kh-31)..

You don't see my points do you?

The points are simples:

1. without MOS, there's nothing in India's arsenal

2. even these MOS are mostly not full TOT. Ruskies keep the core tech. India pays and does the paint job. ( the fault of the matter does not entirely rest on the Ruskies as Indian DRDO , HAL-alike claim - also see cases of Rafale or GSLV etc, because one needs industrial capability to produce the tech after all even are given for free and India is not an industrial country but an agricultural one that is at least 200 years out of date)

3. if you seriously think that apart from the Ruskies, the other 2 world's super missile powers, China and the US, can not easily re-produce, if they think necessary, the downgraded MOS versions of Ruskies' 1990's era missiles exported to India, a country that up to now does not possess 101 industrial expertise and 101 manufacturing capabilities on even designing and mass-manufactoring a basic level of a rifle and bullets that go with it, then you're in for a quite rude wakening.

As usual cheap chinese rip-off to show as a model. As with all chinese stuff they make hundreds 1 work and its ready for sale .. lol.

you have access to Chinese in-door plumbing, Japanese in-door plumbing, and Bill-Gates in-door plumbing, so you know which one is the best?

even though you have access to all the tech in the world, including all the nuke launching codes, that does not give you the right to say which is the best in the world, but which is the best of the all the things that big powers are willing to sell to you in the export market instead. That's about it.

:hitwall: "faster" is neither a complete criteria (which depends on how fast, say >2 mach or > 5 mach? ), nor a sole criteria because "faster" alone does not guarantee "higher chance to hit".

My point is the BrahMos is basically a monkey model missile that the Russians don't want because they have something better in service. In which case the "joint" development aspect of it is more Indian hot air. The Russians are extremely good at scamming India out of money.

Which Hindoo-Russo "joint" development is not Indian hot air, except of course the "5th" gen fighter?

The Ruskies have avg IQ of 100 only. I'd rather say that the Indians are extremely good at being scammed.

Why spend so much time on something that is not considered good enough by the PLA for its arsenal?:D

I am bit confused with the response of Chinese members here.

They seem delusionally gleeful as if CX-1 trolling India.

Only thing CX-1 confirms is Chinese insecurity with regard to Brahmos since 2006.

This is not the first time this has happened though :D

As they say imitation is flattery ;) Very cute of China to do the same.

Although its premature to compare CX-1 and Brahmos.

Can any member post a test flight video of CX-1?

 insecurity? It's rather more of the insecurity of the indian in witnessing the awe of Chinese military industries. Please go to zhuhai airshow 2014 thread and see the whole barrage of weapon Chinese industries able to produce. Compare to India, who is feeling insecure?

Typical Indian will also use its weakness to describe others.

Stop the BS, talk logically regarding the topic, We have done hands on on Harpoon, Exocet, Russian missiles. Why do we need to look at Chinese!

Modelling a missile based one India had since 2006 is awe?

Er..........I do not even have to visit that thread to, say none of Chinese weapons presented are a game changer. :D

Because some Chinese need to be felt important in our eyes ;)
