Exceptions are exceptions. The Sikhs had less problem with Islam. The Mughals on the other hand had every problem with the Sikhs because of their faith and their refusal to submit to Islamic supremacy. Individual people on both sides were normal human beings caught in the web of day to day lives. Siyasat + religion - that's where the real stuff happened.
