Lahore was a Hindu city that has disappeared, says Dr. Tarek Fatah

New Delhi: Canadian author and journalist of Pakistan origin Dr. Tarek Fatah has expressed the view that the plight of minority communities in Pakistan can best be described as abysmal, if not non-existent.

In an exclusive interview given to ANI, Dr.Fatah, when asked to comment on reports of frequent attacks being launched on minorities in Pakistan, said, “There is no Hindu living in Lahore. This ( Lahore) was a Hindu city which has disappeared. What happened? It is like Mecca not having any Muslims.”

When a reference was made to a recent attack on an Ahmadiya mosque in Pakistan, Dr. Fatah was extremely and scathingly critical of the community, squarely blaming them for the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947.

He said, “As far as the Ahmadiyas are concerned and any other minorities in Pakistan are concerned, there is something called Karma. This is a community that worked to break up India. The first non-state Jihadi group that attacked Hindus in 1947 in the Kashmir War. They launched that Jihad. They fought to create Pakistan, and as long as the Ahmadiya does not admit that they made a major mistake by betraying India which was their homeland, they will continue to be prosecuted.”

“The same is happening with the Shias, the Muslims of Lucknow, the same thing has happened with the Islami Muslims. They thought that they would create this (Pakistan) and would be able to place and play the game. It backfired, and Pakistan, is the lesson to everyone as to what not to do. But have Muslims learnt a lesson?. I do not think so. They live in concealed and concentrated areas, they want to segregate themselves. The women are more separate now from non-Muslim than other women than at any time in Indian history. It is very difficult to see or say who is a Muslim woman and who is not a Muslim woman. Today, you can only tell them apart when they appear in more and more in burquas,” he added. (ANI)

I have seen many retards but he is biggest one. Oscar goes to Tarek Fateh

Now this is interesting, some indians are claiming that
1 - Muslims were never in majority
2 - They ruled for very short time
3 - They converted people with sword
So basically a minority came to sub continent and with the help of sword defeated and subjugated "mighty" "Hindus or Non muslims" and ruled there for years and the "mighty" people couldn't do a jack about it?
Man you gotta be smoking some vedic weed that got you so high.

I am from Hyderabad,We would have killed and Strung up that Nizam ourselves, after he set his Razakars off to eliminate Hindus who were Majority in his state.

Muslims were never absolute rulers but for a small period of time, All the time there were Independent Kingdoms and Hindu Kings who fought against Muslim Kings,That is why you still see 83% Hindus in Bharat even after your "So called Muslim rule". While you couldn't convert us as you did with other nations.
You should watch this video for the facts.
1000 yrs of Muslim is small period and 68 yrs of hindu rule very large right...the indian logic 101

He might have had a serious accident in his childhood.. Lost his brain back then i guess.

The only people who hate Islam more than sikhs are the brahmans of kashmir dude i dont get this sikh muslim bhai bhai its rubbish
Brahmins/Hindus, Sikhs or any people - anyone who has faced the Islamic invasions and remember it hate Islam.

Hate for Islam is an International phenomenon.

With the partition the Hindus did migrate away thus it became a Muslim majority city but lahore still has its old beauty along with the newness of the world.
You really have no idea about this, Hindus were migrated or hindus were dragged (I am using a mild word here) away.

Dr. Fatah is a self hating menopausal whore. Thank you for highlighting the sacrifices of Ahmadiyas and Shias in creation of Pakistan. My respect for all patriot minorities quadrupled just by reading this particular heathens rants. Long live Pakistan with all it's minorities, who bring beautiful colors to our lives.

How was Lahore a Hindu city? It is littered with architecture from Muslims. Mosques, Forts, tombs, gardens, grand houses...almost everything from history has mostly Muslim and to lesser degree Sikh and Christian stamp. There is no grand temple or Hindu symbol from history. How it was a Hindu city? And what the heck is a Hindu city anyway?!
I think the author is referring to the Ramayan History of Lahur, which is the city ruled by Lava, the elder son of Lord Ram..
That dates back to 1000s of years before the birth of Christ.. Islam was comparatively much newer a religion, and you are referring to the Islamic architecture that happened Lahore in the last few centuries in Lahore..I think it might have been a Hindu dominant region but over a period of time the concentration of Muslims must have got increased and after partition the remaining hindus must have also got migrated to different places..

Somebody ask this moron of a person to say something about the plight of Muslims in India who never left the India, or the Sikhs who slaughtered muslims leaving for Pakistan and then were slaughtered in their Homeland in 1984.
No, that is not what happened..??You should try reading some neutral resources on this issue..

Tarek Fateh is a chutya. And that is the only reason Indians love him.

Indians love anything that consists of chutyapan.

I actually like this logic often thrown by Indians, i find it cute. What are the neutral sources? RSS?

I think Pakistan got too much. Just look at the population density of India and Pakistan.

The reason behind greater Indian population density is that you guys f*ck and multiply like rabbits. Use more condoms instead of wishing for more land.

Little point in discussing it anymore as its becoming a troll thread where Indians bring topics from left to right to malign pakistan... Lahore at that time was a muslim majority city that rightly went to Pakistan. No game around it. Lahore still retains its old beauty. Like I said. Those that have zero presence in pakistan make the most assured statement.

Neutral sources such as The American Archives on indian History or south Asian History or may be the BBC documentary on Indian partition.. There were many books written on this issue and there were few award winning movies as well in the Indian movies section in the international film festival as well.. Those were the sources I had mentioned..
