That's why I like you Martian. You never fail to deliver in chinese military hardware and tactics. Link that 3.3 megaton video again. If for some very unfortunate reason I was born chinese in this era, you would have my vote for presidency of PRC.
Also take care of those patrols. Too much...
S.Korea and Japan certainly wants to protect the sea lanes since that's where most of their trade come from.
Goodness knows what would happen if Vietnam or Philippines with their skewed understanding of EEZ being extended 2000 km from their coasts as absolute national territory as local as...
What, no they don't.
Or even in another claim map they still don't intersect except for the disputed area. (And why is the PH EEZ so rigid)
Philippine and Vietnam EEZs are far from each other. The only place they overlap is over Spratlys, thus the dispute. But Vietnam-Philippine...
Well Taiwan knows they don't have much say in this dispute because for one thing, PRC is pressuring her to keep claiming the same as itself (as part of One China policy), and two, Taiwan isn't part of UN (position that PRC took over).
As for me, I don't mind Taiwan presence in Spratlys. But I...
What's it like to impose a fishing ban that your fishermen don't follow. Or to suggest de-escalation while sending more ships. Or to ask the other person to ease the nationalistic tension while fanning your own. Or to suggest undisputable proof of ownership while not accepting international...
Yep it was definitely wrong that a China vessel rammed the Luzonian fishermen. It was a Hong Kong ship!
Ha! Ha! What a blunder! Those crazy Hongkongese from the country of Hongkong! The fishermen thought Hongkongian writing looked like Chinese writings! Crazy! Too bad about that Luzonian...

PCG on ramming incident: HK ship was the culprit | Inquirer Global Nation
Well latest developments are saying the ramming vessel might have been a Hong Kong based ship.
It's very disappointing that the crew didn't assist the...
I really like that part of not assisting the fishermen in the water after the ramming. Very professional.
Either the ramming vessel deliberately didn't want to help, because they were ordered to or maybe they are just plain assholes.
Or it was an accident and they cowardly chose not to help...
Good job Vietnam, sky patrol for the Spratlys.
If we can get more closer military ties, maybe you can also use the Phil airstrip on Pag-asa island.
Once the affairs are settled, I'm sure the future when Spratlys becomes a zone of peace and friendship amongst multinationals will come true...
I find martians' posts very educational.
By educational of course I mean a full 180 from topic relevance.

Yeah they tested all their missiles and 3.3 megaton bombs on the reefs near their coast so their marine ecology died out, so now they have to go to vietnam/korea/japan/phil waters to fish.
Yes indeed, the disputes are the main cause of disunity, especially amongst the maritime nations in east/southeast asia. News of growing military spending, allowing fleets of fishermen to work in foreign waters, harassment of other ships of trespassing over sovereign waters, the usual. The only...
So why are there pics of modern weapons (which in turn prompted the pics of dead people) in this thread. Why not post the weapons in the military or chinese sub forums?
If I wanted to read discussions about how US Seeks Vietnamese Base to Counter China, I go to this thread. If I wanted to read...
