What's new

A communist turned to capitalist and created one of the largest IT company!

A walk around Infosys’ Hyderabad campus, I will let the pictures speak for themselves – it is quite a complex.

The Hyderabad campus currently houses around 15,000 employees (or "infoscions", as Infosys terms them). The campus (which by no means is Infosys’ largest, that is in Bangalore and Mysore) has training facilities with on-campus accomodation for 700 students. There are two large food courts, the obligatory cricket ground, mini-golf and all kinds of recreational facilities.

This is Building 14, one of the newest buildings on the campus.

There aren’t many parked cars to see on the campus, courtesy of this parking house. 90% of the employees live within 10km of the campus

Bet he is embarrassed by that part of his past...

whats there to get embarrassed...communism is not something bad..

"Communism (from Latin communis - common, universal) is a revolutionary socialist movement to create a classless, moneyless[1][2] and stateless social order structured upon common ownership of the means of production, as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at the establishment of this social order."

Communism/Socialism/Marxism=Failure :coffee:

capitalism is not a complete success either..a blend of all of them makes a successful economy..heard of the great depression??

Absolutely capitalism is a complete success. The Great Depression? That was temporary and it was capitalism that fixed it. Whereas in communist economies, it is depression all channels and all the time. The sad part is that people in those depressed economies have no ideas they are inferior.

Of course we cannot have unrestrained capitalism. But the issue is which have provided mankind with the best avenue for economic wealth: capitalism.

u must think before u post.

Well I agree Infosys can't be compared with Giants from US such as Google or Microsoft, and I never compared with those companies - I was only refuting a stupid comment posted by one member of defence.pk stating the Infosys work environment with "Concentration Camps" as of his country posses the best work environment in the world...!!!

I have a relative working as trainee in Infosys and she is paid around Rs.36,000/- per month now, with complete free food and accommodation in their Mysore campus comparable to any best work and study environment in the world, and in India this salary is very good for a trainee with free food and accommodation...

By the way thanks for your effort in explaining the 72 grapes message...

That member has a pretty quick hands. The situations in many nations are that if you are not willing to work in the current conditions, there is a line of people willing to work cheaper and in the poor conditions.

Conditions in many multinational corporations based out of India are quite good.

Your welcome.

I didn't know he was communist. thanks for info

Actually, commies can be very educated in Economics. But the issue is what kind of economy do you want.

In a communist economy, everyone is relatively the same. There is no 'rich' or 'poor'. Everyone works where the state assigned you to work. And because there is no incentives and rewards, no one really go out of his way to do more than what was required of him.

Here is what Marx wants for humanity...

Critique of the Gotha Programme-- I

What a person is capable of doing is not the same as what he is WILLING to do. So if there are no incentives and rewards, why should anyone wants to do any more than what is required of him/her?

For a hardcore communist, this is a perfectly acceptable compromise. Everyone is the same in terms of materialism and if you are dissatisfied with what you have, the problem is with YOU, not with the system. You lack 'revolutionary' passion and must be 'reeducated'.

I could be wrong but am willing to bet that Narayana Murthy established the interview's conditions that he not be questioned about his experiment into Marxism.

and why anyone will harder if he knows he will not get any incentive nor he will lose his job?

Gambit bro, In India ppl don't understand Communism.. I will tell you how this person got Gyan (knowledge)

"Once Mr Murthy was visiting some East european country, He was in train, he saw some irregularity. He bash/criticize that country government. He was taken into custody, Diplomats helped him to get out of custody..."

That day he realised communism is not as rosey as it looks like. In communism CPC (communist party commitee) become God, and Blashphemy law applied to those all who talk against CPC..

any source for the calim
