...Why pretend that the government does not have information about the nefarious activities of militants in the society? The local police in Punjab and Sindh, where militancy is growing at a steady pace, are usually aware of the activities of people. The problem occurs when the police get orders from their bosses not to interfere with members of militant groups, and militants are then rescued by intelligence agencies...The sad part is that for years the police of the area was forced to lie to people investigating...The Punjab government also seems to have bought into the strategy of the intelligence agencies of trying to accommodate members of militant groups by giving them public and private sector jobs...in the absence of a programme to deradicalise these elements, the strategy of integrating them in society may run the risk of camouflaging its further radicalisation...seemingly non-militant activities such as welfare and relief work are not an end but means to an end. The peripheral activities are primarily a cover to hide the actual work and intent of these outfits.

ISI is not omnipotent and omnipresent. Lets not drag it down here, it is working hard already & doing a pretty decent job, given the most adverse of circumstances.

Give a breather mate, call in the huge political parties to present & implement a viable political roadmap to harness these guys...

Shove ur rhetoric of "Radical Islam" up urs & hers ... whatever doesn't suit u, u label it as "radical" & these journalists who receive "packets" from ur embassies harp the same tune...

Pakistan being an islamic country, ISI SHOULD indeed have strong islamic ideology, & support.

No matter the more pro israeli american and anti muslim propaganda you churn out solomon the more we love our ISI and army. American government has proved beyond doubt they are muslim killers and murderers so the more you and your lot hate our ISI the more we love them because they must be doing something in muslims interests for you to hate them..

Thanks you for that - you guys may not be smart but you are honest about what you are -

By the way whatever happened to being a Muslim country?

As opposed to embracing the freedom-loving desires of your fellow-citizens.

American government has proved beyond doubt they are muslim killers -
The United States was compelled to form a tighter union under the Constitution in part because the looser Articles of Confederation was not strong enough to field a navy to battle pirates - mostly Muslims - who preyed on Americans. I can't see that there is anything shameful or illegal or morally wrong about that. Or do you hold that it is NEVER appropriate, under ANY circumstances, for a non-Muslim to kill a Muslim - or by extension, a not-so-observant Muslim to kill a fanatical jihadi one?

Listen mate Americas and israeli response is always disproportionate. Let me put it this way. America/Israeli is a male rapist. And the victim when it scratches the rapist lets say with a few scratches Americans/Israelis forget the rapist and try blaming the woman and she deserved the response because she scratched the rapist. Know what I mean?

My friend....I have a blood relative as a Col in the ISI. I would know a lot more than this piece of shyt.

ISI has supported proxies in the past, but not like this article mentions. They actually help the local police and rangers to pick up militants.

This article is nothing but pure bullshyt.

Then why does your flag have a white stripe on it?
Because under islamic law minorities enjoy freedom to practice their religion...

It's taking time-off regaining it's energies ;) will be back ...

The lady has no knowledge of Pakistan's military and intelligence and it's inner workings so what's the use pretending. Anyone can see the news and turn people's fears into a shabby article or a crappy book. The ISI does not support ANY militant organizations.
