Absolutely - disputed means sovereignty is contested, and the disputed nature of the territory is internationally accepted and recognized.

The argument was valid if the attackers into the disputed territory were armed forces and there was no Cease Fire in place. But anyway, this is something which we have to agree to disagree..

It had little to do with ego and a lot to do with trust. As the Americans said after the raid that the Pakistanis were kept out of loop as there were chances of OBL getting warned ahead of time, if Pakistani Military was involved or was even aware of the operation. OBL raid is the darkest chapter in our country's history....we finally found out our potential.....haram kai dollars have taken over our minds and have biologically effected our leaders...

It was not only Musharraf my dear sir! Whole of current lot falls under that criterion.. All these Zardaris, Chaudhries, Shareefs and Movlies, they all fall under the same umbrella..

The race as to who can provide more access to 'farangi aaka' in OUR country wins the election support.. dollars, pounds and media support..

Its the nation which needs to wake up and smell the rotten eggs, its better to slaughter them in the 'chowks' of Lahore, Gujrat, Karachi and Larkana.. to hell with human, women, political, social rights.. This qaom needs a 'danda' to straighten them up..

But who's gonna do that? cuz everyone is trying to save his/her own 'beloved shaheed' or 'khalifa-e-waqt'..

Here is another 'article' to portray that USA did some 'out of the world' operation which Pakistan, for the life of it, would not have been able to stop... and it does not require rocket science to know who are the ones to bring the dead person back to life..

Anyways, there are i guess two 'live' threads on PDF itself for hour to hour and day to day updates of OBL's 'drama'.. Please go through them, we don't need the 'carefully' crafted article to know how 'capable' the US operational force was..

Those who could not bloody land the heli properly, we can easily judge their capabilities.. thank you!

If this is the case then why the world wants Pakistanis to trust them? Illogical scenario IMO

Well, considering the technology and the backup in play during the OBL raid, just how would that have been possible, without disastrous consequences?

Will USA open another war front for a mere chopper shot down for something that was totally legal.....i.e. intruding the airspace of foreign country?

Even if US went to war, some of our officers might die. But then isn't that what they vowed in their hypothetical oath? To defend the country? I mean they are give up their lives fighting against India but not anyone else?

I don't understand all the chest thumping and self-congratulation.

Every American soldier is implicitly backed by the full might of the American military. The SEALS could have walked in wearing American flags and no one would have stopped them. PAF would never dare shoot down an American chopper anyway.

This whole hoopla is like a heavyweight boxing champion bragging that he stole some guy's bike right out from under him.

This seems like it has been written by a romanticised writer with little first-hand knowledge of the operation and has based his story on speculation, conjecture and fantasy:

In October, 2010, a DEVGRU team attempted to rescue Linda Norgrove, a Scottish aid worker who had been kidnapped in eastern Afghanistan by the Taliban. During a raid of a Taliban hideout, a SEAL tossed a grenade at an insurgent, not realizing that Norgrove was nearby. She died from the blast. The mistake haunted the SEALs who had been involved; three of them were subsequently expelled from DEVGRU

This incident involved US SF- "Green Berets" NOT SEALS and certainly not DEVGRU, and even if it was how on earth could the writer know that three DEVGRU members were expelled? No way in hell is the answer- numbers of DEVGRU aren't known and they certainly wouldn't make a PR statement on expelling them if they did, which they didn't!!

Also a joint UK-US military investigation cleared all SFs of any wrong doing as they had acted on bad intel and that they acted in a professional manner (3 US SF against 10-14 Taliban in the middle of the night).
