ISLAMABAD: The administration office of Jamia Fareedia, a seminary in E-7, was occupied by Maulana Abdul Aziz in the middle of the night on Monday.

Mr Aziz and his wife Umme Hasaan occupied the seminary office, after which he led morning prayers and announced that the seminary’s principal, Maulana Abdul Ghaffar, had been removed.

During this time, Mr Ghaffar stayed in his house on the premises of the seminary.

Maulana Yaqoob Ghazi, a close aide of Mr Aziz, claimed that Mr Ghaffar did not want to leave because he knew he was “on the wrong side”.

The incident was followed by a protest at noon, leading police to block the road towards the seminary. Police and capital administration officials have ruled out the possibility of violence.

An administration official, on condition of anonymity, said there were only a handful of seminary students and staff at Jamia Fareedia or any other seminary because of the closure of educational institutions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Roads to the seminary cordoned off

The situation has placed the city’s administration in a fix, as Mr Aziz’ move may have violated an agreement he signed with the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration in June.Mr Ghazi said: “Maulana Abdul Aziz elevated Maulana Abdul Ghaffar to the post of deputy chief from administrator a few years ago. He removed Maulana Ghaffar as deputy chief around two months ago but he got too close to the authorities and tried to take Jamia Fareedia over.”

The matter of whether Mr Aziz has violated his agreement with the ICT administration is also uncertain. Since the text of the agreement was not made public, both sides have made opposing claims; administration officials say that under the agreement, Mr Aziz cannot participate in any such activity for two months while Mr Aziz’ son-in-law Haroon Rasheed said the agreement says he cannot interfere with or enter Lal Masjid for two months.

The police have cordoned off Jamia Fareedia and blocked all the roads leading to it.

Senior police and administration officials told Dawn that well-equipped police personnel, including the Counter Terrorism Force, Anti-Terrorism Squad and Anti-Riot Unit, were deployed around the seminary shortly after Mr Aziz moved there from Jamia Hafsa.

Senior administration and police officers, including the deputy commissioner, also visited the seminary to negotiate with Mr Aziz.

Mr Aziz, his family and more than 50 students from Jamia Hafsa, left G-7 on board wagons and headed to Jamia Fareedia at Fajr, officials said. Almost an hour later, an assistant inspector general from the Special Branch brought the matter to the notice of concerned officials.

The officers said two parties -the seminary’s nazim Mr Ghaffar and Mr Aziz - are now inside the seminary, and both claim ownership of it.Haroon Rasheed told Dawn that Jamia Fareedia was built by his grandfather in the 1970s and Mr Aziz was its rightful owner. He said Mr Ghaffar and the government were trying to remove Mr Aziz and take possession of the seminary.

“The government, including the administration and police, are helping Maulana Ghaffar and at the time we reached the seminary, officials from the police and administration also came there and cordoned off the area,” he said.

I seriously cant fathom a reason why this piece of shiit is still allowed to roam free in our capital of all the places. They should have sent him sailing to afterlife along with his brother but no they had to leave this human turd alive.

So many FIRs and the prosecution always held back. Every breath this guy takes is a disrespect to those thousands of soldiers who were declared by him as not worthy to be buried in Muslim graveyards.

Why our laws are so pansy and can't even put a muzzle to an idiot man who is hell bend on causing so much law and order situation and whose students are responsible for mayhem in swat under TTP. Why can't ISI at the middle of the night nab this man and drop him off into the Afghanistan or middle of the sea.
If police duties are reduced to guarding the roads and VIP's no wonder criminals in this country of ours are free to roam. When nations pick and choose the laws on which and whom to apply and who to give a free ride no wonder law and order becomes a joke.

Because of this SOB ,value of housing properties went down around Lalmasjid. Those who live there during that madrassa era knows. This SOB and his clan made public life miserable.

He is so stupid, during Nawaz era, they add him in team to resolve issues with Taliban Afghanistan. He end up kicked out by other team members, because of silly and immature behavior.

I remember that.
The Madressha students were young gullible boys and girls, brainwashed by this guy into going round the locality and forcing people into not listening to music and attacking CD shops.
That's not how islam was propagated.
If Allah wanted islam to be propagated by force, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would have been sent with hammer bearing angels , and doing so was not difficult for Allah.

In Jinnah Super and other markets they gave deadline to all music shops to wrap up there business. Not only this they used to stop cars and vans on Appara chowk and take away CD and cassettes. And then they blame Mushaaraf.

Our judiciary has been giving relief to this inbred bastard so there is nothing much our prosecution can do here. Only solution is to kill these mothafuckers and then ask courts to prove who was responsible. As long as our judiciary is there in its current form our country will not be able to progress even an inch.

You wanted to create a new country in Punjab before General Elections 2018.

Who funds you?

We killed 100+ islamists in Lal masjid operation and taught them lesson. I don't think they will raise sticks again. They can only bark and empty talk only.
