What's new

.Pakistan's GDP has grown to $165bn

I would like to also say i would like to un-thanks America for supporting our corrupt goverment and killing civilians and helping create more civil unrest in Pakistan. America you are supporting the wrong side. The goveremnt su*k but the people are kool, your military budget is only helping ou Pakistan on a certain side, but our military is strong enough, we have nukes for god sake thats all you need these days to prevent invasion.

we lost nt only 5bn

bt as of present Govt the WOT total cost is more then 35bn USD as of early 2010

5 billion is the aid we've got.

35 billion is low ball figure. It was estimated to be 35-50 billion in 2009. It's probably around 50-80 billion+ by now.

Funny how some of Pakistan military aid is directed towards India and Pakistan hard earnt tax being directed for India only.

When its a well known fact India wont attack Pakistan, as India economy is growing and dont want to stop it.

Ok, fair enough, you might be right. No big deal though. The 5 billion aid (no, not 10 billion, or 18 billion) we've got is peanuts nevertheless for what we've lost. Actually it would be peanuts even if you use the fake figure of 18 billion.

How did you arrive at $5 bilion figure? and you have received $18 Billion since you joined WOT.
Post 9/11 Pakistan has received USD 18 billion in US aid - Worldnews.com

And these services you are boasting off..you know what they are?

US paying for each and everyone Pakistani soldier, who is fighting on your western front, the weapons used, there pensions in case they die fighting..on the top of it Pakistani army in not even pursuing in US targets.

Well if you read the article, it's assistance AND reimbursement. Firstly, for the first 10 billion we've received, 5 billion was reimbursement. That's not aid, that's our money that we get for our services. That makes 5 billion in aid, and the 8 billion remaining. Of the 8 billion since, at least 4 billion (probably more were reimbursements, again). I think it might be more than 5 billion in aid, but no more than 8-9 billion.

As I already told you what this reimbursement is for(your soldier's pay) ..No other country in the world is asking any another to pay its soldiers for fighting WOT...so you might call it as "payment for the services provided" but that just degrades your army to a level of mercenary force.

calling direct military aid from an ally is atleast a bit respectful.

Btw, we've received 8 billion in just year and a half? Or does this 18 billion include the kerry lugar bill, of which we've received 200 million so far.

No it's reimbursement for other services like the US supply line that runs through Pakistan.

Pakistani army need not be reimbursed for carrying US supplies from Karachi to Torkham? after all US is not using Pakistani army trucks.

They do not only reimburse Pakistan army. They pay to GoP, etc. How do you think they're paying for the supply line?

There is no tax/custom levied on any goods going to Afghanistan through Karachi.

US directly pays to the contractors involved in the business..those who are responsible for carrying the containers from Karachi to Torkham..had they had to depend on Pakistani govt to organize the transport ..their supplies might have never reached on time.

Here is the breakup of direct US aid to Pakistan...an the total has crossed $19.5 Billion

So only 6 billion in real aid. Rest were reimbursement. There you go. Security aid doesn't even go to GDP. LOL

Seems you are very superficial in your analysis ..out of the total military aid only CSF($8.881 Billion) is reimbursement and not rest($ 10.714 Billion) like counter narcotics or foreign military funding etc

on the top of it you say.. security aid is not part of GDP ..how so ..is it still not a part of govt spending?..have you already forgotten the formula?

GDP=C+I+G+(X-M)

C=CONSUMTION
I=INVESTMENT
G=GOVT SPENDING
X=EXPORT
M=IMPORT

It's not government spending it. We spend our own money it, they just give it back. Net-net, it still contributes nothing. In fact we probably spend twice as much we've got back.

Anyway, this thread isn't about aid.
