It isn't only about Israel.
The UK (more like the British Empire) left the whole region in a huge mess, in sync with the French.
This is what happens when you treat humans as mere midgets.
Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and others were just arbitrarily carved out by the British and then left to fight.
What little was left, the US sprinkled it's magic.
This isn't to say that the people of the region themselves are totally innocent, but we need to keep historical context in mind.
