Afghanistan to support Pakistan if attacked: Karzai

Updated at: 1729 PST, Saturday, October 22, 2011
KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case on an attack by any country including the US and India, Geo News reported.

“If Pakistan is attacked and the people of Pakistan need Afghanistan’s help, we will be there for Pakistan” Karzai said while speaking to Geo News senior journalist Saleem Safi.

“We will never forget the hospitatlity of the Pakistani people” Karzai said, adding that no one including China, US and India could incite the Afghan people against Pakistan.

The Afghan President further said that both countries should work together for peace.

You have to hand to the mayor of Kabul.. poor chap has the most thankless job ever.
He is indebted to the US for putting him in his position, owes the Indians for giving him the finances to stay afloat.. and begs the Pakistani to let him live and stay.

since Afghanistan doesn't recognize the international durand line with Pakistan, espicial the FATA area, and considers Pakistani tribal areas it it's own, it would make sense in the event if US attacks FATA, Mr. Karzai would support that what he considers his own.

I am pretty sure you are half burn

And you are completely wrong

Thats what we were telling you when Afghanistan and India signed strategic Partnership;)

Signing of strategic partnership btw India and Afghanistan was action not words :D

The thread you have started is about words not action...:D

Btw...I am not here to spoil your party...Good News for pakistan and Afghanistan :enjoy:

Karzai calls Pakistan as 'brother' and India as 'friend'.History is witness that right from Vibhishana of Ramayana and kaurvas of maharata that it was always a brother who betrays and History is always witness to loyalist friend Karna.Btw in recent history too India-china too had their brotherly moment by Nehru and all bhai-bhai thing gone down the drain.

He specifically says if Pakistan is attacked, then they will stand by Pakistan.

Well I wasn't telling my view but in general most Afghans badly waits for the time to regain their territory and time may answer what you asked.

lol of all the problem faced by most Afghans everyday, virutually non-existant quality of life, their top priority is to get "their land back" and dream on for Pakistani Pashtuns support, they're the most patriotic Pakistanis and love their country. And btw, who wants to acutally join Afghanistan? lol no offense.
btw, can you at least call back a few thousands of your Afghan brothers back home from Pakistan. or never mind, they're enjoying their lives in Pakistan with their children.

He specifically says if Pakistan is attacked, then they will stand by Pakistan.

But these kind of statements will help Pakistan make stronger foreign policies and become a reasonable nation. We have seen similar statements from China before and now Afghanistan. Imagine few Arab nations also stood with Pakistan then it will be tougher for USA to command us for everything forcefully.

They may not go in to war for sure... but ATM, verbal support is what we require the most

It's his diplomacy, the reality is no Afghan will support Pakistan if it is attacked by anyone instead it will boost Afghan's moral to achieve their goal of having Greater Afghanistan (Loy Afghanistan).

Well I wasn't telling my view but in general most Afghans badly waits for the time to regain their territory and time may answer what you asked.
