Gujarat riots not an issue that should keep Modi from becoming PM: Narayana Murthy

Death for 11, life sentence for 20 in Godhra train burning case - Times Of India

Modi did not 'communally charged' up the electorate.

It was a communally charged up Muslim mob who first burned Hindu women and children pilgrims. THAT INCIDENT then communally charged up the Hindus to take revenge and restore balance in society.

If you think Muslims in other part of India will try to again burn Hindu women and children pilgrims, then Modi is most certainly required.

Otherwise Modi is still the best choice for PM. LOL.

Thanks to Modi, 1200 others(most of whom had nothing to do with burning that train) also got to meet their makers. Hope he doesn't try to repeat this at a National level to 'restore balance' in our society?

Is any of them trying to become our PM?? Anyways, Kalyan Singh from the BJP was the CM of UP during Babri Masjid demolition. I don't know any one who has honoured him for allowing this.

I repeat, the guilty must be brought to justice, whoever they are. Why this jungle-raj where the answer to one riot is another, bloodier riot?? Do you go about causing road accidents just because you met with one accident or do you insist on punishment to the one who caused the accident?

The Muslims who burnt the train must be brought to justice as must the Hindus who started the subsequent riots. Modiji has done neither so far. We can do with men better than him to be our PM.
Dont be so ignorant. The link is posted above for the punishments given after riots.
And human tendancy can't be related to car accidents and the subsequent accidents as you said above, what will you do if all of your family members are burnt alive and you know who is responsible for that, will you wait for justice to be done by someone else, while you know how the judiciary works in india? You are simply blaming Modi for riots as everyone else does. What did you expect him to do? Go to hindu people and ask them to calm down and wait for justice while the other community is out of control?
He did his best, called the army.
What did you see in recent riots in MP? It took 15 days for gov. to stop it. And no one blames akhilesh like they do for modi.
Have you seen/heard of any riots in gujrat after 2002 considering its past?
You don't want to appreciate his work, developement but simply oppose just because he has been alleged to have role in riots which is still not proven.

What's with this constant lies ? I have just posted a link that shows Gujarat High Court has sentenced the arsonist. You continue with your slander. It just keeps repeating itself like a bad joke.

You are simply blaming modi for riots. It shows your interest and where you are heading with this.
Constructive criticism is one thing, blind hate is one you are showing.

....and yet you are only seeking an apology and not a death sentence for the death of those 1,200 :P

BTW if the muslims in other parts of India does burn Hindu women and children pilgrims to death, do not bet on the fact that such riots will not happen and that it will not be welcome. Modi or No Modi.

one can always do better. question is, what are the options on the table?

Shivraj Singh Chauhan was always there, as was Nitish Kumar. Naveen Patnaik isn't too bad either.

So what if our economy grows at 1-2% less, chances of events that we can't reconcile with even after 20-30 years of them occuring(like Babri Masjid demolition or 1984 riots) are what we must look to avoid at all costs henceforth.

We have a recent example for this.
Mujaffarnagar roits in august this year. Now they won't blame SP just cause they are secular.

none of them are PM candidates at this point.
i'm asking a very specific question: currently only the BJP has a PM candidate. are there any other ones I may have missed?

I'm not showing blind hate. I'm responding to the blind love & faith shown to him.

I am not bothered with what Gujaratis want in their CMs. I am only bothered with what I want to see in my PM.

Speak for yourself.

1. Our economic growth cannot be sacrificed for your 'secular' beliefs.
2. Demolition of Babri structure was a most welcome move and India has most certainly reconciled with it.
3. Building of Ram temple and removal of such illegal structures from Kashi Viswanath and Mathura remains.

And I'm telling you that the BJP had much better candidates to choose from amongst it's ranks or from it's coalition partners!

It's because Modi has succeeded in polarising opinion(intentionally or unintentionally) that he's the surest bet for the BJP to get back into power. BJP even allowed a quasi-coup within their ranks, lost coalition partners and sidelined their stalwart to cash in on his image alone, not because of his administative skills.

There you go. Amply clear now why you want Modi to succeed, innit?

Let Akhilesh say he wishes to be PM. I swear I'll join a morcha against him(and you should join me too). Incompetence in leadership is not something to be celebrated by giving them higher promotions!!

You can vote for whoever you want, there is nothing wrong in it. We will vote and make sure he comes to power next time, irrespective of what the secular people think.
And I am not a bjp/rss modi supporter. Its high time we realise where we are heading with this kind of leadership.

that still doesn't give me as a voter, an alternative to Modi. BJP, for good or bad reasons has projected him as the PM candidate. I am yet to see an alternative from any other party.
