What are the similarities/differences of Bengali peoples in Bangladesh vs India

The main difference being that we are morally, technologically and intellectually superior to them:cool:.Plus we have got 2 Nobel Prize winners and countless other eminent scientists and doctors like J.C.Bose,P.C.Mahalanabish,M.Saha,Satyen Bose and last but not the least the late Dr.Subhas Mukherjee(the pioneer of test tube procedure) among us:cheers:;)!!The other difference is that we speak standardized Bengali while they speak some sort of gibberish which they claim to be a form of Bengali:rofl::lol:

You talking about Hindus or Bangladeshi?

I think that's more a Hindu v Muslim thing.

Tons of Muslims in India in Bengal, Bihar, and UP wear those check lungis.
And whole of South Indians????

well as my origin is from bangladesh... i will go with Hilsa... south bengalis can go with that chingri (jol er poka!!!)
Sorry man , I'm pro-bashi bangali so I am terrified of Iilish maach, for me Bhetki maach all the way when it comes to traditional bengali fish, I am happy with Pomfret trouts and cod these days

Indian Bengalis are crazy about football can't say the same about Bangladesh.
Indian bengalis are proud of their culture, literature, cuisine, history while Bangladesh is still evolving and is struggling with the problems which a developing country faces. Their is a cultural and economical shift going on in Bangladesh and their are many people who are not ready to accept it which happens in a developing country India too faces these problems, but there future is bright.

Ya you are right. But South Indians lungis are white with border mainly.

Of course i am talking about the real Bengalis(who are Dharmic by religion).Bangaldeshis are not considered as Bengalis by most of us here in Bengal:coffee:!!

I have already tried that dish and believe me mate there is absolutely nothing that can be compared with this delicacy:smitten:.Btw,i am not a Ghoti by any mean,i am of mixed heritage,so i get to taste nearly all the delicacies of both East and West Bengal:cheers:

wow a thread about bengali and bangladeshis and no one tagged me yet  @mike Brando where art thou? anyways at office right now, will get back home and add to the discussion
You tagged the wrong mike and hence i didn't get the notification.Btw Bengali Christian community and the Anglo-Bengali community adds more spice to the rich culture of Bengal. Thanks to them,we get to hear jazz and other western music whenever we visit Park Street region.Plus,Bengalis and Christmas are literally synonymous of each other.Christmas without the Bengalis won't be a complete festival and the life of a Bengali will be incomplete without Christmans, specially the Xmas cakes and the picnics:smitten:.Over all, proud to be the inheritor of one of the most diverse cultures of the globe:cheers:

Alright then, someone give me a random list of actresses or models in both Bangladesh and West Bengal and I will randomly pick 3 from each list for a comparison.

Not Models man :-)

Lets go with common folks :p:
