Now I am waiting for J-15S to debut on the Liaoning。:azn:

Actually China was quite slow in this field as they gained this carrier in early 90s from Ukraine. They should have upgraded it with 2-3 years like till 1994 with Russian help and gained some Su-35s too. I am sure than we can say its a mile stone.

We were so poor in the 90s no way can we afford to. Besides, it's much easier to teach an adult to ride a bike than a 3 year old.

Though I will say this, nothing to be too happy about, the J-15 won't be a threat anytime soon as they can't attack ground target with the current STOBAR config. It's a mile stone in the sense we have a platform to conduct tests on and figure out the strategy surrounding carrier operations.

But it is interesting, the J-15 wheels are designed for CATOBAR take off, so you never know.....
