need a few IFB 500s to make swiss cheese out of rats

The Saudis countinue to miss the point. A superior air force is worthless if they don't have the will to use ground forces to make sure their air campaign doesn't go to waste. If the Saudis were competent, they'd have taken Yemen a very long time ago.

maybe if social media wasn't as prevalent as it is now that would be true.

kinda hard to win wars when you have one hand tied behind your back

Yemenis are very proud people. Yemenis will never be ruled by Saudis or their puppet Hadi.

A strong Airforce is power projection, so in that respect, a superior Airforce is justified.

Unfortunately for them, the can no longer count on Pakistan. They urgently need any alternative. I wonder why are they not requesting help from the armed rebels from north Africa?

Of course it is, but it is completely wasted if there is nothing to make sure the damage that's dealt is not recovered by the enemy. The Israelis discovered this at a heavy cost, when they invaded Lebanon. They launched a very deadly air campaign, that ended up doing little to nothing against hezbullah and only resulted in collateral damage. By the time they launched a ground offensive, it was already too late.

The Saudis arrogantly thought they had Pakistan in their pocket. While Pakistan still considers an attack on KSA's territorial integrity to be a red line, it will not be drawn into a war that serves no purpose.

It's a harsh lesson, but the Arabs are finally learning that they cannot continue to rely on foreign military support.

After APS Peshawar incident many people think differently now and time has changed. World politics has changed so the need of new alliances and friendships constantly changing very rapidly...

A good looking bomb seems to be meant for personel............

indeed it is, and it's Israeli as well

I wouldn't be surprised if tGulf countries start buying Israel weapons to kill and oppress Muslims in the future.

So funny that SA had to buy munitions from foreign countries. China, on the other hand manufactures their own plane-deliverable munitions, so their Air Force is self-sufficient and not reliant on imports, which are susceptible to embargoes. Self-sufficient defence industry is more important than what toys one can buy.

but this is land of arabia were you dont have to be self sufficent you just throw oil here and there and grows a tree that produces dollar and you buy the bomb and you pay some cheap merceneries some halal petro dollar to do the work.

with this petro dollar grown out of thin air you get groups called northern thunder that should be called northern diarrhea.
