Trailer of Mujib, biopic on Bangladesh founder unveiled at Cannes 2022

Who the **** knows or cares.

I think the mods should delete this thread!

Where are they when you need them 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can you post the clips capturing the last moments of his life as immortalised by this joint Bongo Indian venture.

Yeah most of Indian economic numbers do not estimate the "informal economy". These Indians suffered a massive economic blow during covid. if they did not die in the pandemic, they starved to death.

No Indian economist (especially Modi sycophants) will mention these facts.
Millions tried to walk to their village because Modi withdrew public transport and suppprt.

Lot of them died on the roadside and were burnt by Modi government.

They literally disappeared into ashes!!!!

That would mean I have to watch this filth!!!!

Let the Hinduvta mob watch it.

They might build a temple in his honour and claim he is some kind of demigod!!!

@Bilal9 bhai, it is a disservice that the film wasn't made in collaboration with West Bengal but with the central government of India and then its trailer was released by the Hindutvadi criminal Anurag Thakur, notorious for his call to violence to Hindutvadis in Delhi in early 2020 - "Desh ke ghaddaaron ko, goli maaron saalon ko" - and the Hindutvadi foot soldiers who then also incited by other Hindutvadi leaders like Kapil Mishra had other Hindutvadis trucked in from neighboring places like UP proceeded to do a pogrom of Muslims in Delhi for days. Unfortunate that Thakur was invited.

The entire thing is immediately discredited due to India's involvement..... Mujib would be turning in his grave...
Is there something wrong with you? India made Mujib. Banga whatever would have been just a Banga had it not been for India. 1971 was nothing without India.

Not including India in such a movie would be like making a movie on story of Pakistan without Jinnah.

India did not make Mujib.

Mujib gave form to the discontent of east pakistan. He was not a senior leader during partition but he did his bit for the creation of Pakistan.

India did whatever it did to dismember the Muslims.

BD and indias interest aligned for a short time and is purely transactional.

This nonsense will not go down well. Are we to believe this idiocy is anything but hindutva propaganda trumping legitimate desire for sovereignty that BD aspired to. That is the story that needed to be told. Indian involvement and particularly the toxic nature of modis hindutva narrative and his interest in this ill intentioned project taints this movie beyond repair.... wont make any further comment to give this irrelevance any oxygen.

Why west bengal.... what have they to do with BD... they are nothing to do with us as partition proves.

Not a joint national venture.... it is simply a BAL & bjp venture

Mujib gave form to the discontent of east pakistan.
And Indira Gandhi sent in the Indian Army to give 'form' to Mujib. No India. No Bangladesh. It's that simple. BD was born in the womb of Indian Army.

I wont watch it.
It gonna be full of pro-indian polemics for sure.

I have boycotted all indian cinema since RSS came to power some years ago. Consciously not buying any indian product either. When i go for basmati i always assure its pakistani.

Nope India was born in the womb of Bengal, As a brit you should know.

We destroyed a threat which would have turned nuclear in our east, made sure Pakistani sympathisers are either dead, in jails or shipped back to Pak. Mujib played a huge part in creating a secular nation which would move towards progress and not be Pakistan's lap dog in a war that has nothing to do with them. Not to mention safeguarding the lives of Hindus/Bengalis who were being targeted and massacred by the army. All Indians and Bangladeshis would forever be respectful of his contributions.

Yes indian bragging and big chest thumping full on display again. Not the first or last time i assume.

If you believe Hindus are being targeted and massacred in Bangladesh now - your credibility just lowered a notch in my mind....

People are too busy making a living in Bangladesh, they don't target Hindus.

Rate of unemployment is too low (5.2%), unlike India (6%). Indian number is probably fudged too.....as is Godi Media tradition.
I said were being targeted by the army i.e. Pak army. No part of what I said was on current affairs which is a different story.

India wanted a pliant, Bhutan like, neighbour.

Sheikh Mujib wouldn’t agree to it.

He demanded Indian military leave immediately.

So he was killed. And once the chaos died down - they installed their military academy trained footman Ershad as leader.

Ershad and Zia slaughtered thousands of military officers.

Look!

I want India and Bangladesh to get on because it’s beneficial for both.

But that’s been binned because you lot installed a genocidal maniac as PM.

We, Bangladeshis, do not want the fate of Indian Muslims.

Neither did Mujib.

Which is why he fought his entire life for the creation of Pakistan.

If you guys wish to forget a large chapter of his life - you are as clued up as an ostrich!

At the hands of Raw! After jumping from a six storey building and repelling 100s of bullets.
That's some A grade propaganda right there. We just wanted a threat eliminated, Bengalis on our side wanted to take care of people they saw as their own, Bangladeshis were being targeted and needed assistance, that's where our interests matched and we went full throttle. Why would any Indian want Mujib dead? When he was as much Bongobondhu for anyone on our side.

Yes indian bragging and big chest thumping full on display again. Not the first or last time i assume.
So denying India's role on a historical truth is better? Propaganda needs to be challenged.

Mujib lost all credibility when he decided to manifest his grievances through ethnocentricity and ethno-supremacy of his own. Urdu was just as alien to the denizens of West Pakistan as it was to Bengalis, yet the former made the compromise for the unity of the nation. If Mujib really believed in the ideals for which he fought for in and prior to '47, he would have retained the title of his dominion as E. Pakistan and not an ethno-state of Bangladesh, however, he remained a committed socialist/communist, frequently referred to comrades in his speeches and was patronized and supported massively by the commie fatherland in his endeavors and ethnic identity was all he could muster. His subsequent demise only speaks to the fallaciousness of his ethnic card.

I think we should watch the movie first before commenting on it.
This movie is a disappointment. Sheikh Mujib had a thunderous voice that steered people, that can not be found within Arifin Shuvo's speech in this movie. In fact nobody can come close of Mujib's voice delivered at 7th March, 1971. Compared to that, this movie's speech is very mediocre. Moreover VFX is very poor, fighter planes look cartoonish. Indian director totally failed in these regard.
