What about MIG-35 jets to Bangladesh

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

lol...that was a good one.

But what about the unknown knowns? The things that we don't realize but we actually know them.

If BD can have Mig29s, why not Mig35s? Not having any external threat doesn't mean you won't have a good defence. Exposure to newest technology will eventually help you in the long run by keeping your pilots up-to-date so they can propagate the knowledge to next generations.

Major question is why do Bangladesh need such Advanced Fighter Jet?

Every country needs to look after its interests !! Every country needs to have strong Air force , Army and navy...A nation and its citizens should command respect and admiration (regardless of its size) in front of the world. Case in point - Singapore.
So if Mig 35 falls in the scheme of things then why not...Real question is can they afford it ...maybe yes or maybe no...

Lets not put forward questions such as why do they need it ...what are they going to do with it..its their money, its their wish....!

The writing in the wall is that PAK's bearings of mighty Empire's sins would downgrade it further, perhaps having an economy that is lesser in dollar figure than BD's one but how does it translate a turning point of history? What leverage does an economic might earn without having strong defensive back up? Economic power comes and goes but what cherishes is might, stronger forces. Being a vessel state, RAWAMY rapist's exploitation of BD's land and labor could earn itself a Singaporean state/economy's alike but that wouldn't be akin to a GOD fearing/mighty entity.

You really are delusional, aint you ? Let me guess you are one of Pakistani sympathizers who wish they never had parted...anyways get over it...
Anyways..last i heard...its Economic might that is cherished...It is economic might that can sustain a strong defensive force...without it ..there can be no defensive force....You know what happened to USSR right ? For too long they ignored the economic plight ...only to see the country split....If india were to tank in its economic growth..you would very well see a halt in all its defence programs...

Now coming to the core, MIG-35 doesn't fall in BAF'S buying list for a single reason, which is enemy IND has a lot of SMTs. What BD needs is a very agile, shiftable, superior in sensor, radar, avionics, low RCS and very short take's off A/C. JF-35 falls in that category but that's like 'Sera Kathay Shoye Rajar Meye Biye Korar Sapner Moto' The next alternative is Grippen that possibility gets ruled out due to the price and logistics. What remains is JF-17/FC-1 that needs to be customized according to above basics. It serves our purpose since its low cost, handiness and SINOS reliable track record with us thus our votes should go for it.

Sigh.....when did we become enemy's ? And what is the problem if India has smt's ? Do you really think, i mean honestly think...India would rely on its smt's (only) to take care of mig 35 or jf17's that you will throw at us if it ever comes to that.....wake up and look around ...smell the morning breeze and live merry...there are too many options available with us ...so dont give this horse **** about enemy india..or awami stooges...you people are so not united...JF17 is a good platform..and Pak would be more than willing to notch up a sales....

Really ? Relationships are good ...lets keep it that way !! No point in picking up enimity where there exists none.

Then do not ask such silly question that what we will do with these jets!

Come on, Mig 35 is a good Aircraft, But At first we Must Also Look into that, if it suits there Doctrine and Roles....

i sincerely think that BD should go for low cost planes like JF-17 or LCA(when it will be ready). That way they can increase their fleet no.

its not like the Russians are offering that to anybody and everybody. It was custom made to participate in the MMRCA deal.Is there any news about MiG-35/35D being offered to Bangladesh or any kind of remote possibility in near future???

BAF may need some jets on ground attack and reconnaissance role in order to check the border and the forests in the region,in order to control illegal drug trade and terrorist camps that have been an issue for quite some time. The older Su-25/Frogfoot will do a good job there.Easy to use, easy to maintain,it is like a flying tank.

I'm sure bangladesh can get Mig-35's in time, it would be good having mig-29 alongside mig-35's, if BAF want to be strong they better start gearing up for some new generation fighters, Threats? no one has ever heard of suprise attacks?

It would have been better to quote Donald Rumsfeld, who got the "Foot in Mouth" award, which is long due to you anyways. And just like he used this decision theory maxim on the presence of Iraqis possessing (non-existential)WMDs, so does indeed Bangladesh feel the threat of a (non-existential) enemy.

As Abraham Lincoln said,
"You can fool some of the people for some of the time, all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
i hope Bangladeshis do cheer up to the fact, Jamaatis or Razaakars, can never suppress the fact that the Indian hand is always to help, not to filch.
