Afghanistan to support Pakistan if attacked by US or India: Karzai

You really lack knowledge about diplomacy my friend. India and Afghanistan are allies. They will support each other but not attack. These statements from Karzai are for consumption of some quarters.

It's his diplomacy, the reality is no Afghan will support Pakistan if it is attacked by anyone instead it will boost Afghan's moral to achieve their goal of having Greater Afghanistan (Loy Afghanistan).

When I say from Peshawar I mean they are from Peshawar, and Afghan refugees are now very few there as of mine there is only one cousin who coordinates a business from Peshawar to Kabul.

There are people on this forum from peshawar but they unfortunately don't agree with you.

Nothing fishy. Analyzing recent developments one can clearly understand that India and Afghanistan have become closer than ever. It has come to the extent where Indian army will train Afghan forces. This can seriously p!$$ Pakistan off. So some amount of buttering is needed and hence these statements. By the way...the Afghans are learning to be more diplomatic!!

I think Karzai has made this statement a gesture only,and hold no value on ground.
How is Karzai supposed to help Pakistan in time of war?
Lets say its the Americans.So Karzai will send ANA to be bombed by the USAF.Thats how?The ANA will revolt within weeks,throw away Karzai and then the taliban will take control.

Lets say,its India.Its on the eastern border of Pakistan goddamnit!!!and Afghanistan is on the western border of Pakistan!!So,will they transport troops loaded in trucks or trains across the country.Half of them will be wiped out in enemy air action before they get to reach the eastern border.

There is a HUGE difference between THIS:

“If Pakistan is attacked and the people of Pakistan need Afghanistan’s help, we will be there for Pakistan” Karzai said while speaking to Geo News senior journalist Saleem Safi.

AND THIS:

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case on an attack by any country including the US and India.

But as usual, Pakistanis twist the news for their convenience. We Indians are pretty pragmatic in that sense. Why waste soldiers, money and resources when Pakistanis are doing the job of destroying themselves? As for US, I think we all know what is the ground reality.

“We will never forget the hospitatlity of the Pakistani people” Karzai said, adding that no one including China, US and India could incite the Afghan people against Pakistan.

You'd have gotten an A+ if you were in the college on international diplomacy, Mr. Karzai.
