Will Mars mission propel India ahead of China in space race?

I would say no, because India does not have its own deep space tracking network to independently send a probe to Mars. Plus, India has no manned space program.

Funny considering the fact that few posts before you claimed to be a UK national and boasted about how superior you are to Indians .
lol , that was in some other context... but indians cant understand that,

I am a dual national which makes me national of both countries... so my post...

i have not seen any Pakistani claiming to be indian. i rather die before saying that...1)but i do have seen indian who left behind their indian nationality to become british, US or other nationals, we never let go our Nationality...

2)China is a friendly country and support them and feel good about their success , its indian mentality that they have first mission to MARS which is still not a success and they have open a thread by saying we are ahead of china...

China success in any field is felt like ours as they are like brothers to us... but you indian cant get that as you people do not enjoy relation like this to any of your neighbors

1) Okay so basically u are saying that Pakistanis do not leave behind their Pakistani RS and crave for a British/American passport but Indians do and then go on to say that they are not Indians o_O:blink::sarcastic:??And u are not a British and only a Pakistani who is working in the GB.Do u realize that u are contradicting yourself?
2) Actually China is a communist country and they are by policy non-believers do u know that mate. But for the sake of stability they do allow a certain degree of religious freedom in their country. They(The CCP) do not believe in the existence of God (Arabic-Allah,Sanskrit-Ishwar,Jewish-Elahi. . . etc).Pakistan which is a country formed in the name of Allah and claim to be the thekedars of the Islamic flag should actually be ashamed if it feels proud in the achievements of the kafirs (those who do not believe in Allah/God).

1) first go and learn about your and Pakistan dual national cases and then talk about it..

2) no need to answer as its out of thread context...

Now u are simply showing off ur high IQ!! Dont embarrass yourself mate. . . If that had been the case then why did u claim in the first place that you hd nothing to do with Pakistan and was a British citizen leaps and bounds ahead of smelly trashy Indians??

you need to go back and read my post again, i never said that i have nothing to do with Pakistan, its my country and i am proud of it, im not like indians...

this is typical indian mentality where you guys cant understand the issue properly and start saying things like these...

Initially i told you that no need to bring in Pakistan as this thread is about china and India.
but your indian mentality was not letting you think properly, so i told you that in case you want to compare with Pakistan just to satisfy yourself as i am being Pakistani , i have updated you about my other nationality.

Again you intended to troll more and started to bring religion which i did not feed in ... so your useless trolling is not going to help you as you have shown your mentality by all the logic you can put into to defend, but its all clear that logic cant go with indians :)

I say yes, doesn't matter if you have no manned space flight, no plan for space station or have a test station, and a host of other things. This is the thing that makes or break a space program.

BTW, our Mars mission didn't fail, the Russians failed us. We tried to use Russian to save resources, but as it turns out Russian rockets is like Russian cars, there's a reason you don't see those on the street.

Lame excuse ! I hope Chinese people will stop being ungrateful to Russia ....

China's Space , nuclear, missile programme owes a lot to Russia ....so stop being ungrateful to your benefactors .!!!

If that is the case China tried free ride on Russian rocket is first place staking its first ever mars mission prestige ...

China had no confidence to launch probe to Mars using its own launcher ....

what is the use of having launcher if you are not going to utilize it fully ....

Has it left Earth orbit for Mars?

It will take a month before it leaves the Earth orbit. The spacecraft will rotate around the earth for a month to build escape velocity using earth's gravity to leave the earth. At present India lacks GSLV capabilities, which might take India a year or two to develop to the fullest.

Actually there is no competition. China has different plans and India has different.

China is more into sending astronauts into space, while India is into space exploration.

As Space explorations gets advanced ....there is increased reliance on robotics ...the very reason why US and Russia reduced manned space activities and increased robotic missions is that there is nothing useful to be gained from manned missions that robotic missions can't !

Let's brace for some super bragging from a nation without toilets and with half the populace below poverty line.Remember the intensive day and night bragging by the Indian media, leaders and officials after the 1998 atomic test (Op Shakti, May1998)? That had forced Nawaz Sharif to arrange for the Chaghi test just 15 days after Pokhran-II .

dream on india.... China is way ahead and it will take another 100 years to catch up even if china freeze all missions for that 100 years ... so keep dreaming....

why you are being so cheap ???

why not say China is billion years ahead of India ....It will sound little more credible ....

Your Chinese masters will shower more favors on you !!!

Come on be little more generous....

Just wondering... if the satellite misses Mars, where do you all think it might end up? Could we use the camera to take pictures of other places where it ventures thereafter?

Russian rockets are best in space industry, and Roscosmos rank second in Space Budget and first in sattelites. They are on par with NASA.
Comparing Russian Space industry with their Car industry is totally wrong and absurd.

This ungrateful idiot does not understand that even US is using Russian launchers to send its astronauts to International space Station !!!
