Eileen Gu joining China over US is significant becos she is elite who are well educated, rich , well groom, smart, pretty.
A rich and elite chooses PRC over US , more or less sums up the less and less appeal of american life and being american.

Everyday , you flip thru the US news and all u see is mass murderer, shooting and ethnic racial problem.

More so for Zhu Yi and her family.

Zhu yi Is different becos, her father never gives up his China citizenship. More or less sums up, her father is well prepare for her daughter to take up PRC citizenship in future.

What is he doing staying in UCLA? He's just asking to be arrested as a spy.

Not Zhu Yi, actually Zhu Yi's father is a heavyweight talent. Zhu Songchun is the chairman of CVPR for many times, he has a great influence in the field of American artificial intelligence, Chinese students and professors. His departure led Chinese scientists and technicians in these groups to start thinking about whether to leave. For example, Hua Gang, chief researcher of Microsoft, it is likely that a large number of senior technicians like Hua Gang will choose to leave USA with Zhu Songchun. This is his real name article on the Internet about Zhu Songchun.

We really need to thank trump. Chinese people like to stick together, they all have a strong herd mentality. It is likely that the discrimination of several Maga makes us obtain so many senior talents.

Oh he knows that full well but doesn't want to mention that detail because he's just trying to push the narrative that Chinese people from all over the globe are renouncing their foreign citizenships in droves and flocking back to 21st century China. Her father is a very very famous Chinese national (and likely her mother is a Chinese national too). Here's his wikipedia entry.

Song-Chun Zhu
BornJune 1968 (age 53)
Ezhou, Hubei, China
NationalityChinese

"...Zhu has two daughters, Stephanie and Beverly.[5] Beverly Yi Zhu (Chinese: 朱易) is a Chinese-American competitive figure skater"

Saying the US born daughter of two Chinese nationals wants to skate for the Chinese team doesn't fit his agenda.

But I doubt Beverly Zhu want to skate for US even his father plan US citizenship for her after witnessing so many asian hate crime in last 2 years.

It's human nature when a society don't accept your ethnic and abuse with all kinds of violent and stupid local government do little to stop the hatre that you will avoid this country citizenship and pledge your loyalty to others, right?

What is he doing staying in UCLA? He's just asking to be arrested as a spy.
He is already shifting back to China. He is going to base all his research from China rather than US.

Well even though that may happen occasionally the vast majority of Chinese still want to stay here because China has far more negatives than the US to make them want to go back. Child kidnappings, pollution, food safety issues, etc.

Lol.. you think it's so easy to get back China citizenship once u give it up? Unless you are some billionaire or Nobel prize scientist or super smart elite sportsman. How many ex Chinese citizenship in US fits that criteria?

If China today open the citizenship for those ex to come back with lower criteria. You can see flood gate of them going back to China. They are now stuck in US due to circumstances or they are wanted criminal by CPC, not becos they choose to or think USA is still better than PRC.

Try harder :enjoy:

Currently in Guangzhou and Yiwu, there are very black, Indian and Middle East people. They marry Chinese people, and have many children. I think these immigrants and their children will have Chinese nationality.

It is similar to the case in Qinghua or Beijing. Chinese people have to make a desperate effort to enter these two universities. But it is less harsh for foreigners.
