What's new

Pakistan might lose more water to India

limiting our water in this fashion is analagous to an act of war against Pakistan..an existential threat

the indians should realize that and be careful about the path they tread on. Agriculture brings livelihood for tens of millions of farmers; our very existence lies on unhindered access to our fair share of water

if the indians play dirty games garbed as ''development'' -- then Pakistan should have all options on the table to deal with the problem
As pointed by Andross, this one was simply like

any action that harms Pakistan and creates the conditions for more hostility will be MET with similar courtesies extended

shah-ji the inaction by your govt is hurting PK far more. You have issues with the dam, come to court with us and let's solve it like adults. jumping from roof tops isn't gonna do anything.

Dont be like that ignorant fool in Pakistan who once said that Indians steal electricity from the water of the rivers before it enters Pakistan

there is no diversion or blockage of water.. Its only your corrupt and inept government who has no clue on how to do water management for an increasing population and some idiots in your govt end up passing the buck to India.

Grow up and smell the coffee before rattling the old, rusty and ineffective sabre of all options on the table. Frankly at this time, the table you talk of is under the risk of losing a couple of its legs.. Save that first..

hahahaha..Send your army to stop that..Oh wait, you already tried that..

the environment has to be conducive for that....building 45 dams that will limit our water supplies will not help build confidence from our side

yes it's true that we lose water also due to inefficiency, but there are mechanisms in place before the water comes into Pakistan that can measure how much share we are getting.... what we need is better lobbyists, perhaps invite delegations to our side. Butter them up a little bit.

and yes, when i say all options are on the table - you guys automatically assume it means send a few bombs. You people are hilarious.

not to say however that this wouldnt or couldnt be one possible option.....I would hope things wouldnt get to that level of intensity.

They waste 35% water of Indus and their tributaries. Same way they think Afghanistan is stealing their water from Kabul River. It seems Pakistani fanboys think they have right over each and every drop plus they only have right to produce hydroelectricity from the river entering Pakistan from India and Afghanistan.

They have to blame India to cover their own goverment record so they can say its not our fault its India's

Whole Himalayan rivers has capacity to produce electricity worth 84,000 MW. And every world Treaty allow us to produce electricity from 3 Rivers in Jammu and Kashmir. To maintain GDP growth rate of 8-10% Indian need to invest lot in Infrastructure particularly power sector and government is doing that. Why to compromise with our development for the sake of cheap politics from incompetent politicians from Pakistan.

PK's confidence in our intentions is not needed, what you need is confidence in your own case. Build it up, go to the international court of justice and let's battle it out on legal grounds.

We have done this before, and amicably accepted the outcome.

No reason why we can't repeat the process.

They can take the matter to court if they want but we will not stop building dams on our side as we need to produce more energy from hydro projects. Pakistan suffers from poor infrastructure it does not invest in enough money for irrigation etc and loses even the water it gets so how can it blame india

If those does go on further, and Pakistan's water supply is dangerously short. I see perfectly fit for Pakistan to take decisive military action. It would be understandable for Pakistan to lay waste to what remains, perfectly justifiable.

Thanks for the morning chuckle

on topic: Prepare the case and let's meet in ICA. We have resolved similar issue like adults before, no reason why we can't do it now.
