Security beefed up in Islamabad as Lal Masjid cleric vows to restart 'Sharia Law' campaign

May Allah give him strength and power to accomplish his campaign. Ameen.

It simply has to be implemented...

We cannot just continue to punish a poor labourer who steals a 1000 rupees caz his childern dont have shoes....
And keep looking the other way when billions (in usd) are embazelled by chief justice ir chief minister or an army generals son....

This is not the society i want to live in (though i dont live in pk at moment)..
I have no idea who and how it will happen....but i have a strong belief that it will....

If there is Shariah than that "poor labourer" wont have to steal 1000 rupees, why? Zakat, thats why.

May Allah give him strength and power to accomplish his campaign. Ameen.

No... May cows, rats, monkeys and all other disgusting things Hindus worship give him strength and power to accomplish his campaign.

Thats what most people do if they are ignored and not heard.

So not enforcing sharia will result in innocent people being blown up in markets and mosques? Is that part of Shariat?

@Horus -- this might need to reporting to authorities. Maybe this individual needs to be taken out in zarb-e-azb.

Unfortunately that what most people do to get attention now; we can see this prevalent in Palestine, Chechenya, Kurdistan and ect... Also why report me...?

Sir, the roots of the present civil strife in Pakistan go back to that period in history.

Bhai if that was true then we would have at 120,000+ dead (martyrs insha'Allah). Why don't you own up and accept this fasad started post 2001.

Yes sectarian incidents did happen pre 2001 our society just got more weaponized after 2001 just tell me one thing do kafirs issue wajibulqatal fatwas and fund anti shia rallies in Pakistan or are they the deen kay thekeedars?

Bhai bonygia na maru. To carry a gun is sunnah. I have a side-arm and you know Azad Kashmir is safe. This is Allah given right for us to carry a gun. This is a blessing living in our blessed land of the pure. I can't comment about what a scholar has said on issue relating to wajibul-kathal; I'm sure they have their dalail. I agree there should not be any anti-Shia demonstrations or anti-wahabbi or anti-daubandi, etc but some ulema ikram get emotional and I can't blame them when they read khustahi on nabi as'salaathu was'salaam.

You call this being ''deen kay thekeedar'', we call this ishq k nabi as'salaathu was'salaam. Islam does not give permission to kill anyone with the qadi permission. As there is no qadi...They should not do it.

And talking about rational thoughts what is rational about ending relations with the west as you previously suggested?

Bhai-jaan, I already answered this in that thread.

It's time to eliminate Lal masjid once & for all. This terrorists center is the only place in Pakistan who are with ISIS.

Time to send in the weapon to surpass metal gear on that "masjid"

I agree with you about having to deal with khawarij ISIS supporters. A Braveli-Mufti should be allowed to debate them publicly televised and they'll be defeated intellectually. I'm totally against what the kharij ghair Musharaf did about attacking a Masjid; a house of Allah. Things can be resolved with piyar wa rahmath.

I strongly disagree these are Allahs laws. These are the man made laws of humans and these humans think they are applying Allahs laws.

Before answering questions on what is Sharia and how it can be implemented, is not relevant in your case. Bhai, what you have wrote above, you need to know the Quran is the word of Allah? The rest of your questions become irrelevant!

Also why report me...?

@SMC threatened to unleash ''zarbeazb'' on me :-) I don't know bhai Talwar, I like his views on Islam and he wants our country to be strong. However, SMC I'm a madrassa guy and surely I would be a more of threat than brother Talwar? So, why haven't anyone come and kicked my door in?

Here is a story I want to share with you; my mamu-jee who is connected with the saysdan of Azad Kashmir. I mention this because he's secularist. He told my dad that I will be kidnapped by ''you know who'' because I wear a black amamah. Not a lot of Braveli thulaab wear black amamah except for the Ulema ikram and yet here I am, SMC trying scare me with his little threats. Shame on you!

What I said to you before still stands, No KAFIR has the right to tell us how we live our life! Discussion of Islam is only for Muslims to discuss.

I believe those who want to impose shariah or Islamic rule will never be satisfied because no country can be completely Islamic. If you look at it we have a rule called the blasphemy law. No modern country except for Iran and Saudi Arabia have this law and even there it is not misused. The blasphemy law is an attempt by mullahs to impose their ideologies onto us yet we still feel we do not have enough Islam in our lives. There is a fund for hajj pilgrimage as well.

Even Jinnah vouched for a secular Pakistan:

Was Jinnah secular? - The Express Tribune

I think the first step would be to realize that being anti religious (Anti Islam) and being secular are not opposite tracks but can function together. If they could not 44 million muslims would not be in Europe.

ISLAMABAD: Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid has vowed to continue his ‘Movement for the establishment of Holy Quran and Sunnah’ and rejected the local administration’s warning note against his activities as of no value.

“But for the regard of decency, I would have torn to pieces the deputy commissioner’s note,” he said in a statement issued late Sunday night in response to a warning issued to him on Friday that he could be arrested for reneging on his written undertaking to observe the law.

Even harsher was his video message on the social media addressed to DC Islamabad Mushtaq Ahmed, but without naming him.

“You shed your uniforms for the sake of dirty democracy of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan,” he said. “But when I invite [people] to Holy Quran and Sunnah, you send threatening letter to me.”

He demanded retrial of all prisoners in the country under the supervision of Islamic experts to determine whether their sentences were in accordance with Sharia or not.

Maulana Aziz was delivered the warning on Friday after he, with his wife Umme Hassan, led a rally from Lal Masjid to their residence in the female seminary Jamia Sumaya in G-7, allegedly in violation of the undertakings he gave to the administration in August to observe the restrictions put on his movements under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

In the undertaking that he gave in writing to the Islamabad police chief, Maulana Aziz said he neither belonged to nor had any affiliation with any banned group.

“You had stated that you respect the law of Pakistan,” the DC reminded the cleric in his latest communication.

Maulana Aziz responded by decrying the State and its functionaries. It was issued by Shuhada Foundation of Pakistan, as was his 30-minute video message in which he urged the entire government machinery, including the armed forces, to support the mission of enforcing Islam in the country.

“Lal Masjid has always raised voice for the truth,” he said, announcing that his “movement for implementing Holy Quran and Sunnah” will continue “till my last breath.” Meanwhile, a close aide of the Maulana said his other key demands were eliminating interest-based economy and Islamise the media to clear Pakistan of obscenity.

“What we find on TV screens and in print form is not what Islam teaches,” the aide said. “The media need to be told the role

and responsibilities Islam demands from them.”

Maulana Aziz also wants the taxation system to follow Quranic injunctions, ensure stipends and security of shelter for the poor.

“Those raising the demand to implement Holy Quran and Sunnah have faced state persecution in this country since 1998,” the cleric said, referring to the murder of his father, Maulana Abdullah, that year.

“We have faced killings, arrests and the 2007 military operation at Lal Masjid but stand undeterred and ready any (court) trial if conducted in accordance with Holy Quran and Sunnah,” he said.
