Arunachal CM Dorjee Khandu killed in chopper crash

Arunachal CM was not looking for OBL.. so its irrevelant.,... may his soul rest in peace.

Sheikh Abu Ahmed, the terror chief’s most trusted aide, used a cheap pay-as-you-go mobile to have a 60-second conversation with an associate who was being bugged by the CIA.

After 10 years of keeping bin Laden’s whereabouts secret, his complacency proved fatal.

Spies tracked him down and he led them right to the lair of the world’s most wanted man.

Ahmed was bin Laden’s devoted personal courier who helped plan the 9/11 terror attacks and deliver his tape recordings to TV stations,

He and other senior terror figures had been ordered only to speak to one another face to face.

Bin Laden was so meticulous about this rule he banned phone and internet from his compound.

Ahmed’s phone call was traced to the Pakistani city of Peshawar and a huge surveillance operation swung into action.

On a stifling hot day last July, Ahmed was spotted driving a white Suzuki 4x4 through the dusty streets. The nondescript vehicle was followed for more than a month – eventually leading US agents to bin Laden’s hideaway in Abbottabad.

For the next seven months the compound was watched by drones, satellites and agents.

so much for ISI's Intel that led to the compound...

World 'failed to track' Bin Laden

Pakistan's prime minister says spy agencies worldwide share the blame for his country's failure to capture Osama Bin Laden, who was killed by US forces.

"We have intelligence failure of the rest of the world including the United States," PM Yousuf Raza Gilani said.

Pakistan has been criticised for not locating Bin Laden, who was living near the country's main military academy.

The CIA head has said the US did not tell Islamabad of the raid in advance, for fear it would be jeopardised.

Meanwhile the US has revised its account of how the operation took place.

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Tuesday that Bin Laden was not armed when his compound was stormed by US special forces in the early hours of Monday.

"There was concern that Bin Laden would oppose the capture operation and, indeed, he resisted," he said.

Initially US officials had said the al-Qaeda chief was shot while taking part in a firefight. Mr Carney blamed the initial confusion on the need to provide detailed accounts of a complex military operation quickly.

US officials have said they are considering when to make public their photographs of his corpse.

According to the locals who were interviewed, the mysterious family in that fortress like house was always viewed with suspecion-who never allowed anyone inside walls, who paid for cricket balls which accidentally fell inside instead of allowing the kids to enter inside compound and take it,who-while being uber rich, didnt let any of their children to schools, who burned their trash-add to that the one of its kind construction of a huge house without even a single window in top two floors..!As per interview many locals considered them smugglers or drug traders(in all probability some of them have reported it-no one wants smugglers living in their area).Yet authorities in that high security town(where one is frequently required to show their ids to police)didnt see anything suspecious-even while the house is very near to important military installations...something is clear as day-no price to those who can guess what it is..

That image is from BBC website and if you cant trust the veracity of a news image from BBC then this discussion it self becomes futile.
I cant "prove" that the sky is blue to a blind man.

Just my 2 cents mate.

US newspapers, post Iraq war, apologized for providing false information on the dictation of CIA...

i cant make goats use the "brain" either..

Just my 2 cents too mate..

This sounds like a media interview, not an official statement. The guy spoke from memory.

You are claiming a date for the photo, so it's your responsibility to prove that. All you have shown is a photo that was posted in 2004 with no mention of when it was taken. Everything else is your wishful thinking.

Bin Laden also worked with the CIA in the past. By your logic, 9/11 was carried out by the CIA.

Dont give a counter-intuitive argument about the date of the image. No one labels a photo with a "posting" date and any noob with an SLR will tell you that a photo is labeled with its taken date by default.

And please go and reread my post again, i never said that ISI carried out 9/11, i said it had relations with Bin-Laden when 9/11 happened (did it know before hand ? or did it turn a Nelson's eye to the 9/11 Op of Bin Laden ? etc are all questions which need to be answered. CIA didn't have any relationship to Bin Laden when 9/11 happened. So your argument is invalid.

Again.. beating round the bush.. the burden of "proof" is not on us.. the burden of proof that they killed Osama lies on US and there are many discripencies in their "story".. and NO it is not "best" to play down such an event.. this will play havoc with the future of Pakistan.. and being Pakistani.. i will NEVER allow that.. What are they waiting for?? "doctoring" the evidence? generating proofs? bring out the video of the operation they made.. They were WATCHING right??

And why do you think they need to share the proof with you?? the so called burden of proof being on them...

These are the reasons why i believe there might be still dinosaurs hidden in some part of the world.. if in a highly fortified area where military has its heavy presence , the worlds number 1 terrorist can hide for 5 years, it is possible for humans not to know about dinosaurs.

From all that I have read, I will try to quell your doubts:

There were 3, one stayed, two left.

Had mechanical problems. Quite a few eyewitnesses (I mean those in the area that heard though all of it), give the same account - Problematic noises from the choppers, then a big thud. When they thought it was all over, a big bang that almost shattered windows around. So the chopper had mechanical problems, came down. And they planted an explosive device to explode soon after they had left. Besides, Osama was a fan of AKs, and its not easy to bring down military helicopters with just AKs.

He never shied away from showing off his AK. He was always armed, and I bet he slept with his AK in the bed too.

Radars were not jammed, if they were jammed, the security forces of Pakistan would immediately scramble their own choppers and planes, even if they knew what was going on, out of the fear that anyone else too could take advantage of that jamming. Besides, they came from Jalalabad and went back the same route - that's a long flight inside Pakistan.

One was killed one was injured, one is fine.

Gone back... all the way to Jalalabad through Manshera - Was all planned with PA complicit in it.

To make this event die down as quickly as possible. The more it lingers, the more it will be talked about, and the greater number of sympathizers it will garner. Osama's killing would become counterproductive if it is shown as the most prized possession of the US. He would have ended up doing more damage in death than he could when he was alive.

To accommodate the big guy who was so involved with an active Al Qaeda that had various unfulfilled plans/objectives. Also, he always keeps his family close, which had become too big of course. And finally, it is easy to defend yourself inside a big house, in case a battle ensues, than in a small one.

Two more things:

1. You say it is a norm, then why do you ask why? Best is to use what is the norm, right?

2. The reports are saying much different from what you say here: The houses around are much smaller than this one, which costs over a million dollars. So is it a norm in Pakistan to live in a million-dollar house? Sounds like Pakistan is the richest state in the world - a little too much, don't you think?

- Didn't understand that.

There is only one purpose for such pictures - Portrayal of the governing party to be used at the time of elections. Otherwise, if you are doing a job - fine, what is the need to take pictures? Will taking such pictures help kill Osama more quickly?

No theory is a conspiracy theory if it is based on logic and reasoning with a complete info on the affairs. If your theories are based on flawed logic or show off info gaps, then they do become conspiracy theories.

It is best to play down such an event. The ISI and PA are pissed at the Americans right now, and I firmly believe the ISI has had the best knowledge on whereabouts of Osama. So if by any chance it was not Osama they killed, the ISI would have called the bluff right away and saved itself the embarrassment and supposed looming threat of the Al Qaeda.

Agree with all your answers except the part about Osama being armed. According to the SEAL who killed him, Osama was unarmed. When the SEAL entered the room, his wife was in front of him. He shot her in the leg and was then face to face with Osama. The SEAL shot him without taking chances but it turned out he was unarmed.

This was a kill mission from the beginning.

Pakistan is not worried about India.

In this raid, even when Pakistan detected four helicopters coming from Afghanistan -- almost certainly American -- what real option did they have? They couldn't really shoot them down and kill x number of American soldiers. When dealing with a superpower, your hands are really tied.

There will be no hesitation is responding if Indian helicopters detected doing the same.
totally agreed

And why do you think they need to share the proof with you?? the so called burden of proof being on them...

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The burden of proof is always with the claimant, not the skeptic.

WHY THE FU CK NOT??????

THEY'VE KILLED MORE THAN 20+ PAK TROOPS ON NUMBER OF OCCASIONS FOR BEING INSIDE OUR OWN BORDER.

I WILL NOT EVEN MENTION AMOUNT OF FC KILLED.

STOP YOUR INFERIORITY COMPLEX ORELSE WE MIGHT ASWELL CALL BACK BRITISH TO PAKISTAN TO BE THEIR PANKA-WALA.

THIS WUSSIFICATION OF PAKISTAN NEEDS TO END WITH REMOVAL OF SELLOUT LEADERS BOTH CIVIL AND MILITARY.

Where the hell is Pasha and Kayani, someone call them up.

I heard that no one is picking up their phones.

LOL. From taking some logic from your post from Telegraph. Were Pasha & Kiyani the jihadist thinkers or the american cooperation thinkers?

That is the real mystery, the way the operation has gone down means that someone from within the Pak establishment has helped the US in killing Osama.

Now everyone has gone quiet and we might find out later as to what actually happened.
